FANMADE CRAWL: In light of Rogue One's impressive opening weekend and rave reviews, my interest has been officially piqued, and my skeptisicm quelled. I have not yet gotten the opportunity to see the film in all of its glory yet, but I'm sure now that it's a masterpiece.

HOWEVER, the thought of any adapation of Star Wars on film without the iconic "opening crawl" seriously disturbs me. So to help me sleep at night, I have created my own from scratch. If you're bothered by Rogue One's bold move in jumping over the crawl like myself, this one is for you! Please enjoy. -WKA

This is the best one I've seen so far with the best description yet, except of course the guy had been recruited already to work on the Death Star and the fact that the wording is green and not yellow but I'm sure there was a reason. I like how you didn't include "episode" or "a star wars story" bull that others use. You did it right with just the "Rogue One" wording. I hope Disney will add an opening crawl to the blu ray release but I doubt it!

if rouge one had a safe launch to the ISS and did not explode safely carrying Carrie fisher to the ISS for her 3 day stay sadly that did not happen it BLEW UP killing everyone onboard

Only change I would made is the line about Vader sending Krennic to recruit Galen Erso, who lives in exile. The reason he lives in exile is because he already worked on the Death Star, and fled after learning it's true intentions. So recruiting him doesnt make sense because he already had been recruited before. add to that, that the Death Star isnt Vader's doing, its Emperor Palpatine/Darth Sidious. Vader disliked the Death Star, he is more of a Force-kinda guy

I like it till the point that you say Death Star. Remember that the craw would never give this type of pivotal information away before it is brought up in the movie itself. Yes we all know its called the Death Star. However the director in RO made sure to put that line in the movie because at this point (Star Wars time line) in time no one had a name for it yet.
