My personal HC is that Cadence's powers only influence what is already there. She doesn't go around willfully pushing everypony into Dionysian orgies of total and brainless infatuation. Not to say that when her powers first activated there might have been unintentional screwups or perhaps she herself had a "pretty princess phase" and was a bit loosey-goosey with her talents.

As an adult though, she's learned control and acts more like a marriage/relationship counselor who guides, directs, heals, etc.

I'm not hating on your ideas, just countering with my own. Actually, I'm in the midst of re-reading an excellent fanfic series called Cadence of Cloudsdale where Mi Amore Cadenza is the daughter of an ancient alicorn named Ladybird who ruled the Crystal Empire over a millenia ago. She was actually born in a cloistered abby after the empire fell due to Sombra, and spent several hundred years hidden from the world.

I don’t think she IS the love spell princess but she might be related to her. I believe the reason why Cadence is such a Mary Sue is bc virtually the only reason she was created to begin was to promote the toy line.

It’s more likely that those were her parents or some relative, we may not know their exact ages, but Kaylan is about the same age as shining armor and twilight, and most likely that holiday has been going on for generations so before cadences time is close just not necessarily fully believable

I watch the series this year Princess Cadance is one of my favourite characters i loved her character bio and design

If someone were to make this a story they could use this as an allegory for a toxic relationship and trying to heal, as someone who was assaulted maybe in allegory for that and her taking back control by literally being overcontrolling

GUYS HELP I SPOTTED A SIXTH ALICORN IN SEASON NINE OF MLP. IT LOOKED SIMILAR TO CADENCE BUT IT WASNT HER SINCE SHE WAS IN THE CRYSTAL EMPIRE.
ITS S9 EP2 WHEN THE MANE 6 WENT TO THE CANTERLOT CASTLE AND SOMBRAS ARMY WAS THERE.
the only ALICORN that are known to exist are twilight, celestia, Luna, cadence, and flurry heart.
But this one looked like cadence with the body shape but not colors, she was blue, and she had a long horn, only alicorns had long horns like cadence and twilights,

To be honest, I hope that in the future we get a movie or special by the official creators of the show that gives us an official but also satisfying answer to Cadence's backstory. I also think that they should do the same with Celestia and Luna as well. I kinda imagine that the way the story would be told through a flashback. Little Twilight is curious one day about any princess's backstory (depending on who's backstory it is, it could take place a certain way; Cadence is baby-sitting her, or she's in Celestia's castle just after she was accepted to Celestia's own pupil) and just have them tell the story via a flashback. Also, something I should mention, I think that the ponies themselves should be telling the story as, to me at least, someone's story is told best from that person themselves. Something I should mention is if they do go with the "Filly Twilight asks about it" it can really only work with Celestia and Cadence, as Luna was imprisoned in the moon by this point in the story

I Thought I saw some were that king sombra was cadences dad and as she was a unicorn was not allowed to rule the crystal empire ad sombra because evil for revenge Cadence was to young at the time but saw what her dad was doing and informed Princess celectstia when she reterned the crystal heart she git her cutey mark (I think she should be around 30 - 40 in season 8

i think that instead of this Cadance was a rude pony until she met twilight and when she met twilight and twilight taught here how to love and spreed love and then she did the spell on the two pony couple and then the crystal heart thing happened and more challenges in here life that involed with love oh and the pony story of the heart sand hoves spell was her mom and not her

I thought that could have been in her the book, there is 3 princess’s at the time, celestia, Luna, cadence .

Cadence was still young not a full grown alicorn, so she could have been living the sorta same amount Luna and celestia, if you look at her in the book and ya I know it could be just a drawing but just saying, it looks just like her, even the crown a bit, the hair, all that, either, what if that was her? Or, what if that was her parents ? But she got her power from the potion ? Just like how flurry is born a alicorn, I noticed, cadence was originally a Pegasus, shining armour is a unicorn, so combining that, flurry is a Pegasus and unicorn from her dads side and moms side, this makes me think, what if they fell SO in love, that love potion effected the baby?

Or
It was her she didn’t rule for awhile do to this, till she properly found love and light, have a kingdom again but with a protection for it the crystal heart,

And I’m just adding this on for a bit of fun, What if the crystal empire she ruled before? Then a love potion happened and sombra was around and took over the kingdom?
Then later on after he is defeated she takes over again? Because right away they all call her princess after being gone for like a thousand moons
