Hi, I’m Krista! I make math courses to keep you from banging your head against the wall. ;)

Math class was always so frustrating for me. I’d go to a class, spend hours on homework, and three days later have an “Ah-ha!” moment about how the problems worked that could have slashed my homework time in half. I’d think, “WHY didn’t my teacher just tell me this in the first place?!”

very helpful, was in khan academy trying to understand this but it made little sense. You laid it out and made it super easy, thanks

As someone who came here just to remember the formula for this, I was hooked into watching the whole video because you organize things so well. Love to watch these videos! Thank you!

The "aha, I get it now!" moment is just priceless every single time, when I look for your teaching videos:).
The explanation is great, clear and thank you so much for your work!:)

You explain calculus better than anyone else on YouTube and I've watch way too many videos. However, I always come back to hear you explain it and I get it every time. Cannot even say thank you enough.

You make me remember my sister which is 7 years older than me. She used to help me with math until i go to college. The way you explaining things, writing stuff and even your sound and look is similar. Thx for the great video btw :)

pretty sure you and patrickJMT are the only two that can explain calculus.

@SIN4EVER14 I actually studied Psychology in college. :) For now, I'm only "teaching" on YouTube. But I'm glad you like the videos! Let me know if I can ever help you with anything! :)

My instructor shows us a way to identify U. She said to apply the late rule. Log Algebraic Trig Exponential. Which ever one you can categorize in the problem applying the late rule that ll be your U and what ever is left over is your DV .. Just easier to identify!

But love your videos and thank you for taking the time to make them !

@69Blackfoot69 when I originally created example two, it was over the allotted time limit for youtube (at that time). So I wasn't able to post it, but it can be found on my website if you'd like :)

I dread having to go over my maths notes to try to make sense of what we have done in class, then i remember that you post these awesome videos that just make everything seem so much simpler. Thank you for the great job you do.

You’re the first person to explain how to do this and not leave me confused

My instructor likes to just throw the numbers on the board and not really explain how he got them, so when I look back over my notes, I have no clue what I'm looking at. I was glad to find a video that actually gave some explanation. Waiting to take Calc three years after taking algebra didn't help that's for sure.

I'm taking calculus II online, and this is after a 15 year hiatus from math classes, the last of which was business calculus; needless to say, I need some help with calculus; I think you are a great instructor, and your examples really help me in trying to figure out these foreign and complex topics; thank you so much!

@brightonjanuary2001 No. Integration by parts won't work if you don't select the correct part to act as u and the other to act as dv. In this problem, you pick ln(x) to be u because it becomes much simpler when you take it's derivative (it becomes 1/x). This means that the other part, x^3, should be dv. You need u, du, v and dv for the integration by parts formula, which is why you need to find all four of them. :)

Thank you so much for your very clear solutions to calculus problems. Some tutors like to skip steps, but this methodical approach can really help a student understand the process more.

After days of smashing my face into my calculus book, it all suddenly clicked by the end of your video. Thank you, kindly, miss!
