This is 100% wrong. Engineers created humankind to populate earth, but they saw that humans were violent. It's explicitly said in Prometheus. The Engineers tried to save humankind from violent tendencies by sending one of their own to Earth, but they crucified him. Yes, according to Prometheus lore, Jesus was an Engineer. So immediately after he was crucified, the Engineers decided to send a ship full of weapons to wipe out the earth because humankind was beyond saving. The ship that carried all those weapons crashed and stayed there for 2000 years until the crew of the Prometheus found the ship. After the events of the movie, David flew the ship to Engineer planet and wiped them out. He basically did to the Engineers what they wanted to humankind.

There's an African story I heard a long time ago: there were giants on earth and they were kingly and misogynistic. Every couple prayed to God for only male offspring. So that's what God granted them. And that's how they went extinct

They hate us, because in a deleted scene, they explain how they impregnated a human woman, took the child back to their planet, educated it on the wonders of the universe and ways of being, and when they returned the child to grow up and teach humanity, we crucified him.!..sound familiar.

Excuse me, but didn't evolution on Earth happened 3.6 billion years ago, so you telling me the Engineers waited billions of years to see what humans will do?! LOL

Engineers created humans and they carried out sacrifices to create life on other worlds. Once they realized how messed up humanity had become, they set out to destroy earth with the use of bioweapons from their military outpost, but we see how that went down throughout the movie. Humans come back to reawaken the sole engineer in stasis, and in doing so create another mess that ultimately leads up to the Alien franchise (but it’s not a direct prequel).
