I wish vet costs weren’t so high :( I could only afford to take tests of my kitty and from that I was told my cat had major white cell deficiency and needs more tests and a blood transfusion to keep her comfortable...my only option was to put him down or take him home...I want to do much more for all animals..

Thank you for the video! My cat died yesterday because of feline panleukopenia virus and he was only 2 months old. This is making me stress facing the fact that I lost him forever.
If anyone had such symptoms as FPV like diarrhea and often vomit in the morning, please be aware. Trust your vet and protect your loved ones.

You may want to more distinctly separate the members of your lists, it is taking a bit of effort trying to distinguish what statement goes with what condition.
Edit: the video and audio appear to be poorly synchronized. The text for FIV appeared @4:00, while the vocal description came @4:30.

I had 9 pedigree cats, the oldest age 15 a British shorthair decided Dec 13th 2016 her time had come. Eight days later my 4 year old Burmese wouldn't eat for 2 days, my husband said I was being silly wanting to take her to the vet. However the evening of the second day I took her to the emergency vets as she developed a strange tremor with her head. The next day a cardiologist told me the bad news she had dilated Cardiomyopathy. I wouldn't euthanise her and she fought for her life. It turned out she was Taurine imbalanced but responded to it, a very very rare thing! a few months later all her glands were swollen in her neck, vets though it was Lymphoma but all tests came back negative. Eventually her popliteal gland (its behind the knee in human and similar placed for cats) its easier access as head and neck surgery is so vascular (I was an anaesthetic nurse - for humans) I'd sat up every night for 6 months nursing my puss, even cooking her bacon at 4 am as it was all she wanted that day. I used every skill I had to give her a chance to live, even learning things pertaining to cats such that their respirations are between 20-40 a minute. She did end up having 2 separate incidences of being hospitalised at the vets hospital as she was poorly, the second occasion was the last time her respirations were up at 49 meaning she was drowning in her own fluids in the lungs - hence short panting breaths. there was talk of a chest drain but iv frusemide (water pills) worked and negated the need of the drain. The day she saw her cardiologist he called in the am saying she looked ok and he'd call once he'd seen her. At 13:30 he called and said the right side of her heart had shut down, kidneys failed and she had a fast growing tumour in her chest area, that possibly entered her brain, one pupil more dilated than the other and she had PICA while at home (eating cat litter in her case) its a sign something isn't right with a cat. He also said get here PDQ which we did, she was on oxygen and looked up at me when she heard my voice. I told him it was ok to give her the injection to end her suffering. I held her while it happened and after. I miss her much.

Very poor video, the visuals are totally desychronised to the voice over, and so it is impossible to follow which condition the voice over describes.

I lost a 15 month old cat to FIP (feline infectious peritinitis) during Hurricane Sandy...he was a feral rescue. My only regret was that he suffered longer than necessary because recent vet grads apparently don't have enough experience yet to recognize the combination of symptoms as being this fatal disease. The vets tried, but my poor Dusty suffered for about 10 days longer than was necessary. I don't hold anyone responsible, they all did their best under trying circumstances...and tried so hard to save him, however once my regular vet was able to reopen...he immediately recognized the combination of symptoms that affected respiratory, stomach, intestines and left him in absolutely terrible shape. Once I knew, we released him. Also, I had to wait 6-12 months to be sure none of my other 3 showed symptoms...they did not...Thank God!

I lost my young cat today and I can say that I am truly depressed and sorrowful right now, since there aren't any vets in my area I would never know what killed him.

It would be really nice if what the speaker was saying matched what disease and symptoms were being displayed in the video. It is all messed up.

Female kitty, age 15-years-old, her diagnosis: hyperthyroidism. Very thirsty, quit eating entirely, very high thyroid count and liver counts. I tried giving her the prescribed pills in her food, but she started refusing everything. Dr prescribed a pen with thyroid gel to put in her ears. Seemed to help quite bit. She is still fighting, finally drank some broth from tuna fish, actually jumped up on the table for the broth which she had not done in days. Dr gave her an antibiotic injection, fluids, and the pen. I'm keeping my fingers crossed, but she went downhill so fast, not sure she will win the battle. I am going to give her a couple more days to see if she has some improvement, especially eating. If not, she will need to be euthanized, breaking my heart. Out of the eleven I have had over the years, she's my sweetheart with magical eyes and best friends with Charlie kitty.

My cat has feline AIDS but we are told that if we give him a renal diet and never let him leave the house and never to let him come into contact with other cats, he should live a normal life.

I have hat alot of rescue cats over the years. Only two suffered contagious disease. I have had a seemingly to me unusually major percentage of them die from either oral cancer or leukemia over the years. Cancers. That and a couple liver failures in their later years. The cancers appeared in about middle age to barely senior. That has me baffled. I was offered chemo as a temp expedient for one cat and estimated cost $15, 000. Well that is not on the menu, sadly.

My granddaughter Sky is attending College on a scholarship to and also Member Of the National Honor Society 4 years to become a veterinarian! I only wish she would have been my Alexis vet. I too paid for tests which some were not sent out and I was told she was in kidney failure because she wouldn’t eat and she died at only 5 years old. I loved her more than I thought possible. I’m upset because after two vets they never really tried to do anything . It’s not like the Lassie show where The vet made house calls and didn’t charge you an arm and a leg and did everything possible to save your animal your pet your for a baby now they don’t care I hope that changes money isn’t everything. You go Sky!
