In this video I explain and demonstrate how to use a reversing camera's guidelines to park a car in a car park and how to parallel park on the road. I use two cars, one with rigid guidelines and another with bendy guidelines to show you have they differ.

Passed this morning, 2nd time with 0 minors! after a catastrophic 1st with 3 serious and 7 minors 3 weeks ago (with the same examiner). Conquer Driving is the best channel I've come across for clear and simple explanations and I could not have done it without the tips. I always struggled with anxiety, woke up last night 5 times with my heart pounding. Believe me, the feeling of passing is worth all the driving test worries. Brighter days ahead, and never give up. Thank you Conquer Driving!

I see comments from many younger or new drivers who appreciate your excellent instruction and explanations. I am an older American driver 61 and I have learned alot from your videos. I just bought a new Kia Niro with the bendy lines back up camera and appreciate the explanation on how to properly use those grid lines.
Glad I found your channel and subscribed.

Now I need to watch some more videos on Roundabouts a road type nearly alien to Americans and guaranteed to make me have sweaty palms. 😅

I didn't realise I needed this.. but it was brilliant!
Just got my first car with a rear camera and didn't know what it was doing!
Looking forward to practicing this now, and also just gave my daughter her first driving lesson (in an older car) and your tips for parking and lining things up first, and also not going past 45º are invaluable! Many thanks! Big 👍

63-year-old, about to have a reversing camera for the first time.. so this is very handy, thank you! Being an old geezer, I do feel a bit sorry for your front tyres when you turn them to full lock without crawling a little bit.. back in the day before power steering, the effort would have put folks off from doing that, anyway 😊

My missus reckons I abandon our new car instead of parking it. Despite having had a Class I license I am useless at parking our Honda Civic so your video has been a real eye opener, thanks very much. Now to practice what I learned.

Your video makes using the camera look much better than the description in the manual. Thanks, Richard, for making this informative video.

9:18 “Drive - Incubus” made me laugh out loud. Keep living & breathing driving. Your passion for it (and succinct way you teach) has not only made driving more accessible/knowledge-equipped, you’ve made driving genuinely fun.

As someone who didn’t get properly into driving until mid-20’s, I’m glad that when I finally did, it was to stumbling on your lessons early. Even having passed my test a year ago, I still watch your videos regularly. Thanks for helping me shape best habits from the start to become a better driver today. 🎉

I wish these cameras would be more commonplace, it'd save me a lot of stress and learning. I find parking to be the hardest part of handling a car since I'm very bad at judging small distances.

Love the little glimpse into your taste in music too from the Now Playing section on the infotainment - good choice!

Thanks so much for your very informative videos, Richard! Passed my test on the 7th of this month with only 2 minors but still watch these videos and ones I've missed for things that are trickier for me (like reverse bay parking) when I'm out on my own. Really great videos. Good luck to anyone else who has a test coming up.

This video could not have come at a better time! I’d been driving an old Ka (2004) for over 18 years. It was a lovely little car but very basic. Recently I upgraded to a new i10 with reverse parking cameras! Your video has been great, helping me get to grips with lining up the guide lines etc when parking! It’s a little different to doing reverse manoeuvres old school style, but I’m very much enjoying the extra assistance! Keep up the excellent work my friend.

Hi
Richard
Your videos are so much informative.I understand the effort you put into it to make the leaners to grasp it clear. I passed my test 3 months ago but still I watch your videos to learn something new and to be a safe driver.
Thank you so much for explaining how to use the guided lines on the reverse camera.

Thank you so much for this. I recently started driving after passing my test. Was very nervous to drive after i got a scratch on my car a few days ago from taking a too tight turn badly. Did a parallel park in one try by myself today, the first since I took lessons. This, along with your other parallel park in a tight spot video was very helpful.

Brilliant exposition of the rear view camera. I don't have one yet but there will be one on my next car. Thank you for your video. Subscribed.

Thank you Richard, this is an excellent video. Picking my Aygo up tomorrow and it will be the first car I have with a reversing camera. Still think I might have a lesson with a qualified instructor just to give me the extra confidence but you have given me a good head start!
