I'm back with another piece from my arrangement to-do list. This time, for the first time on my YT channel, I’m dedicating myself to the music of the renowned Greek composer Vangelis. With his soundtracks for "Chariots of Fire", "1492: Conquest of Paradise", and "Blade Runner", he left a lasting mark on the world of film music, particularly through his innovative use of synthesizers.

The epic main theme from "Conquest of Paradise" is definitely my favorite work of his. I’m especially fascinated by the impressive blend of orchestral and electronic sounds, as well as the memorable yet somber main melody, which later transitions into a hopeful, heroic B-theme. This music has touched me deeply ever since I was a child. I still remember how often it played on the radio in the 90s, especially here in Germany, where it became famous as the entrance theme for boxer Henry Maske.

For a long time, I doubted whether this piece would work well on the piano - particularly the B-theme, which consists of only a few notes and relies heavily on the unique instrumentation and sounds of the original composition. However, I’ve often had similar doubts with other soundtracks that I eventually dared to arrange.

Now, I’m quite happy with the result, and I hope you’ll like it too!

You truly changed the world of music with your talent. I listen to your songs a lot. I got the majority of them on my MP3 player and I listen in my free time and when I do homework. Your music even inspired me. I’ve composed a song which is inspired from you and your compositions. I also love two steps from hell.

I’ve played piano for eight years and I’m still doing it currently. I’ve played by ear since I got into the early intermediate levels and I arranged lots of compositions that I know. I’ve arranged Lord of the rings and Star wars. Those two are my favorite and now We are free from gladiator. I also play at church, which is a true blessing. You have enhanced the world of music and have left me in awe countless times :-) one of my favorite composition of yours is on the other side of the world, orchestral version.
I dream of playing piano like you and maybe even making my own orchestral version of my compositions.

Now, I can clearly see the results of decades of intense hours that you put in, and it inspired me to finally get a Yamaha P45 and get started, been playing for 10 months now, and I am still full of vigor.
