Bruh, skyrim is so ass you are a drgonborn with no stakes or agency in its mindless linear narative, why does it make you the leader of every fucking guild in a single run, how are you able to predict how a civil war will end, there is even a dragon that wants to kill/enslave humans but you have better things to do like making iorn knifes there are no rememberable characters, oblivion was made in 2006 and has wayyy better of story then of the tale of an obnoxious dragon if you even want to take it back Morrowind has a better story

Dark Souls made me question how I live my life and perhaps made me look forward to reaching heights no matter how difficult or unreachable they may seem. Meanwhile with TES, although deep it just didn't spark that connection with me.

After playing both series, Dark souls just felt more emotionally impactful giving me the most tearjerking stories even on the first blind playthrough.

ES are several games, of course the lore will be much larger. DS1's lore alone is already very impactful, perhaps because it differs greatly from conventional fantasies. And also a central theme about accepting change. Everything only went wrong in the DS1 universe because Gwyn didn't accept that the Age of Fire was going to end, he just prolonged it and still caused suffering to everyone. Or the Witch of Izalith who, when trying to reproduce the first flame, became a monster and led many people to the same fate. Or even Seath, who in exchange for immortality lost his vision and sanity, in addition to several experiments on the population. That alone makes me love this game, it goes beyond a simple story.
