Miss Fuschi taught my paino teacher! I met her when I was very young. She is a beautiful person inside and out. ❤️

I first heard Miss Fuschi when I was teenager living in Wytheville, Virginia. She came as part of the Columbia Community concert series. I can remember every single thing she played as well as what she wore even though that was over 50 years ago!! I can't remember everything I did even this morning she was a tremendous inspiration that I will never forget

To play so correctly at an advanced age, you have to have formidable technique, and she seems to have it.

For those of you who don't play the piano, the Liszt 6th Hungarian Rhapsody is one of the most difficult pieces in the piano literature. The problem is the rapid octaves in both hands. Just the repeating octaves are difficult or impossible for most people, a similar problem to the accompaniment to Schubert's Erlkonig. While this is a not a perfectly clean performance and not at the tempo you hear from geniuses like Horowitz, Janis, Argerich and Cziffra, she plays the piece with elan and great feeling for its spirit and the technical achievement is admirable. I've played the piano for 75 years and doubt that even with a great deal of practice that I could do anything like what she achieves here in this piece. Remarkable.

80 is a young age for a pianist. At 100, Horszowski was still playing. 😉

Check out Martha Argerich if you want to see what an octogenarian can do. She is a legendary goddess.

Does everyone know that her beautiful first name is Angelo in reverse? Apparently her father wanted a son so he reversed the name
