Debussy 'Clair de Lune' on Piano for 80 Year Old Elephant

Debussy "Clair de Lune" for a gentle female elephant called Ampan. Ampan is 80 years old and lives with us as Elephants World in Thailand. She is blind in one eye and can barely see with the other. 80 years old is very old indeed for an elephant, it’s about 10 years past the natural life span of an elephant in the wild.

For anyone that doesn't know.. Elephants typically flap their ears as a sign of enjoyment and excitement. The flapping on their skin also alerts other elephants nearby to direct their attention.

Can you imagine being an 80 year old and saying, "I got this elephant when I was a baby, and we've been together ever since"

It makes me so happy to know that somewhere in the world, instead of killing them, elephants are so loved there is a guy who lives just to sit and entertain them on a piano.

This is how humans should be with animals. It's such a beautiful thing to be able to see an elephant listening to a piano piece. I'm sure Ampan enjoyed it very much ❤
