Dark Souls - The Most Overpowered / Broken Weapon

If you ask me the Painting Guardian Blade (buffed with Darkmoon Blade) is the strongest weapon in the first Dark Souls game, for PvE. Not so good in PvP because players can parry and out-reach you.

The most overpowered weapons are the whips. They stun your opponent with laughter so you get to switch back to a real weapon and kill them.

First time I beat DS1 I only leveled vitality, endurance, and strength. I used full Havel's and a black knight sword. I could face tank all the bosses and swing freely. Gwyn could hit me with his full 3-4 hit combo, I would heal and attempt to parry him again. My friends who were actually good at the game hated it, but it was so stupidly fun.

Moonlight Greatsword. Its so overpowered it escaped Dark Souls and appears in Bloodborne, Demons Souls and Kings Field (and some other From Software games).
But as Thusla Doom put it: Whats the blade compared to the hand that wields it? Flesh is stronger than steel. Thats the answer to the Riddle of Steel

My favourite is the great scythe, slightly less damage but the reach on this thing makes any multiple enemy encounter trivial.

Ds3. Sellsword twinblades, Pontif left eye ring, Carthus beacon, Old wolf curved greatsword, red tearstone ring, flynns ring and pretty much any weapom buff. Bam, insane pve dps.

Claymore was my main during my first playthrough. Normal path, no buffs, quality build.

On my first playthrough I got the black knight greatsword, and the second i picked it up I practically finished the game already

In DS1, the black knight weapons are op and you can get them as drops early on and they break the game especially in the beginning areas.

The PGCS is a great DPS weapon though

I really think Dex is the way to go when going for a hybrid caster build. Thanks to their speed and low stamina use, these weapons synergize perfectly with strong weapon buffs.

Upon my first Black Knight kill in Darkroot Basin I acquired a Black Knight Halberd. Might as well have rolled end credits right there.

Everyone is busy running for BKH. But this weapon is amazing. I got it to lightning +5.

the strongest weapon pvp and for majority of pve fights in DS3 is ... very simply... the knife. (ideally the bandit's dagger) but they basically be the same.... can dodge through nearly every attacks, it just takes longer to kill stuff - slightly - but ya can buff these so obscenely much that they can kill stuff still rly fast....
