How did anyone even figure out that pickaxe one in DS2
And why on earth is it so obscure

The monastery set from dark souls 2 is way more rare than the pickaxe. There is only one enemy in the game that drops it and he only spawns on ng+ and he's hidden behind a painting in aldia's keep. He doesnt respawn so you have to burn bonfire aestectics if you want to farm him, that means killing the dragon every time you dont get a piece. I dont know the drop chance but it isnt very high i believe

I would argue that the rarest item in elden ring is actually the magma blade with only a 1% drop rate and only 2 enemies in the entire game that drop it. That and also the flame monks curved sword

Noble's slender sword has a lower drop chance than the shield for sure

Guys, the rarest item is deodorant. Only soap in elden ring ehich is still pretty rare, but deodorant is the rarest.

Wouldn't go anywhere near as far as saying the DS2 Pickaxe is the rarest item in DS2, it's just tedious to obtain. It's guaranteed if you just do the thing. A rarer item would be something like the Mad Warrior Mask.

For darksouls 2 I would argue that the reskin weaons are actually the rarest items in the game. The pickaxe sidequest is a chore sure but it's a guranteed drop if you do it. While the weapon reskins are no longer accesible and can only be recieved through trade with a player who has it. As far as I know they are not in scholar of the first sin and were only obtainable prior to each DLC release in the abandoned house's basement in majula. Granted they are functionally identical to their non-reskined counterparts. I still have my white katana on my 360 save file haha.

I would argue that the rarest item in Bloodborne is the Guidance Lvl 3 Rune since it most probably doesn't even exist

Weapons are .5% each and blue festive is 1.5% but there’s like 3-4 enemies that drop it on the entire map

In ds2 the mad warrior set and the berserker blade all drop from a single red phantom enemy in belfry sol, the enemy has around 16% chance of spawning and the items each have like 2% chance to drop
