What if palpatine had dissociative identity disorder one identify being the good sheev and the other the evil sidious?
What if obi wan convinced anakin to spare dooku on the invisible hand causing dooku to turn back to the light ( seeing qui gon in obi wan) and afterwards joining obi wan on mustafar to stop anakin ( if he still turned)?

Without Yoda, the jedi order was allowed to flex and change. Good. A stagnate order lead to a mess of the sith coming into power. Also, that way you took care of the sith. That was an interesting play Plagueis... lets see if it works out for you- ah... fool. Well, glad Hondo would make things work... probably went into the pre -owned star ship business.
