Passive aggressive people are the worst.

The book he is talking about is called "5 Types of People Who Can Ruin Your Life" by Bill Eddy. It's an insightful read and is easy to get through. If you want a peaceful life, it is imperative that you learn to identify the people that will bring high drama and steer clear of them.

We always think some people ruin our lives, but what about the lives we have ruined? Time to reflect on your own actions.

I wish my parents had taught me/modeled how to set healthy boundaries and not accept toxicity into my life. It can be such a struggle learning these good behaviors as an adult after you've allowed your self worth to be completely demolished.

Easy to label others.
Harder to see in yourself.
If everyone just worked on themselves and tried not to hurt others, tried to get better each day, imagine what the world could be like

Everyone is saying of a person they know who has these traits or agree of what a narcissist looks like, not realizing that every human being is on a spectrum of all different traits (depressed, angry, narcissist, happy, loved) and some tend stay at one point of the spectrum most of our lives but all humans have shown a degree of the very traits he speaks of. It's just much easier to see the flaws in others than to recognize that we, too have the very flaws we curse others of.

So true. When you learn that half the people you meet will do everything they can to use you and hurt you.

Those passive victim types who use that to subtly manipulate you are the worst.

Just see people as mirrors that reflect back areas we should work on. Especially the people who cause a strong emotion within us.

It's the aggressive types that create the passive aggressive types. It's the assertive types who have to navigate around the two other dysfunctional types.

Note to self: keep stack of books above cabinets in kitchen to remind myself to keep a healthy mental diet

My mom is narcissistic… that have made me extremely obnoxious about being one myself. I constantly judge myself when I feel like I did something narcissistic or egoistic… it’s really draining… to the point where I’m afraid of talking about myself. Because that’s all my mom does(talking about herself).

Aggressive / abrasive people aren't so bad. You know where you stand and they get to the point.

This kind of person has zero filter. Almost everything you do will evoke a negative reaction. If you dare voice an opinion about something that they're doing that you don't like, it always turns into a big ordeal. They will do things wrong, then they have a million reasons why it doesn't matter. When you try to talk, they are impatient and want you to hurry up, you can't even make a point, but when they talk it takes so long and you are expected to be the perfect listener. If you voice these problems, they don't understand and it turns into them overreacting.
