Have a terabyte ssd for modern windows and modern games (suggest NVME) and then an HDD for windows 95/8 and older games. Also put in a blu ray drive and noctura fans.

I have a new in box case from the translucent PC days, plan to build it into a sleeper but not sure how to make anything fit since it was a matx case.

7800x3D and some decent mobo with 64 or those new 96gb of ram, 7800x3d does not need much cooling so the little air that goes in the case can go to the 4090 and cool it

7800x3d 32gb ram, gigabyte b650 mobo, thermalright assassin cpu air cooler, or a thermalright frozen notte cpu water cooler, 2tb crucial p3 plus nvme m.2 ssd, nzxt c1000 psu, atleast 6 case fans. Thats what I would do.

Ryzen 7 7800X3D, B650, 32GB RAM. Good mid-high end build. Maybe an air cooler (water cooling wasn't popular back then). Also try running real Win98 games with 86Box :D - keep that original feel

Get one of those cheap usb to flopyy converter boards and wire it upp to an internal usb header to make the floppy drive functional

2- An i9 12900k (cuz shit airflow)
3- A 240MM pick whatever yall want
4- An RTX 4080 Super.
5- 128 GB RAM (32x4 Gig stick)
6- Sabrent rocket 4TB ssd x2.
7- A 1000 rog power supply.
