You can't buy a bad CPU/GPU combo if there aren't any GPUs!

Most people cannot afford $400+ for a GPU, but they can afford the 5900X on sale for $180 and a similarly priced GPU (RX7600 or 12GB RX6750XT when on sale). Until these GPU companies drop their excessively bloated prices for 30-50%, people will continue to buy mid to higher end CPUs with mid to lower end GPUs.

Recently built my new build with specs I asked a about in the comments of one of your previous videos, namely with a Ryzen 5 7600x and a gigabyte RX 7800 XT, and man does it feel nice. No stuttering at all in games like No Mans Sky at 1440P ultra, and with AFMF and maybe a little bit of FSR I'm able to push the frames to my monitors max of 170 fps. Feels good man!

I build a friend a new gaming pc, my combo was 5700x3d and 7800xt wich will be the best vfm for months to come (according to pricing in my country), rest of the specs are 2tb nvme, corsair rmx750, be quiet dx 500, msi b550 gaming edge, 2x16 ram and artic freezer air cooler for a total around 1300 euros

Finished my build this past weekend and ended up going with a 7800x3d because I was able to find one for around $400. I was on the fence between the 7800x3d and the 9700x but decided on the 7800x3d for the better efficiency. I was fortunate enough to have a family member that lived near a MicroCenter so they were able to pick up a 9070 XT for me on release day. Besides those I pretty much went with what was suggested here for the upper mid tier with the 32GB CL30 and a B650!

Jumped from a 2070s with a i7 10700K and 16GB of ram. The difference is crazy and I'm gonna have to get a higher refresh monitor when they go on sale because my 1440p 144hz monitor can't is having trouble keeping up in most games.

I'd like to add that the 7800x3d has been on sale for around $400 far more often lately, and that's not a bad purchase imo for the upper-mid range to high end option, at least that's what I'm telling myself after getting one lmao.

The GPU market right now is ridiculous. I do agree though that the 9070XT pairs VERY well with a 14700K and 64GB of DDR5 6000MT/s. I'm currently experimenting with a stack of GPUs, CPUs, motherboards and cases to see which I'm going to settle on for myself after the current work project I'm on.
I'm doing to same sort of thing for my client to find them the best powerhouse PCs they can integrate into an in-house AI LLM cluster they'll be using for oil drilling research. So much fun right now.

Honestly, the decision i made regarding my new PC was probably the smartest thing i could have done. I specd the PC myself but went through one of the PC building companies to have it built (as they have there own supply), and I can happily say i have a radeon 7900xtx and a ryzen 7 7800x3d with all the headroom i need if i want to upgrade the processor in the future, but zero need to do so.

I still rock with an i7 4790k 16 gb ddr3 ram. I have had it for 10 years now. Yesterday i bought a msi gaming x 1660 super 6gb, for 80 bucks. it’s sure is an upgrade from my old, half broke and dusty msi gtx 970 4 gb. It have served me well RIP. Mine “New” 1660 super doubles in fps on highest settings 1080p around 120-160 fps in csgo2. I have a curved full HD Va panel 1080p aoc 165hz. It’s is enough for what im doing watching movies, youtube, some work things and play games sometimes mostly csgo2 and rust sometimes. Is amazing to see a such an old cpu still keeps up and the gpu is the bottleneck lol. I’m going to upgrade sometime soon after summer I think, and build mine first new rig by myself. Ryzen 5 7600x ddr5, 2tb storage m.2 nvme and maybe 7700 Xt or 7800 Xt. Also a new 1440p screen, damn I’m going to be broke after that. But i think that should be alright for the next at least 5 years for me. Probably not if you consider how fast we going in developing new technologies. But who cares you don’t need to upgrade every 2 years if you don’t need it and care about the best of best and have money raining down on you.
