Why am i, an EU citizen watching a video aimed at US citizens?
I don't know, but i love it. (insert reference to Odi et Amo by Catullus)

As an, obsessed Eurovision fan from the USA, this video is what I needed to get my reluctant friends involved. Thank you

Oh, Matt, you little savage.

Ok WAIT. I had no idea the musicians on stage couldn't actually play their instruments live. This is earth-shattering news to me. I've paused the video to reflect on this. This changes so much.

As an American, I got into it because of the Will Ferrell movie back in June 2021. Jaja ding dong, double trouble and husavik are my favs from the movie. This led me to a rabbit hole into that year's Eurovision which led me to find Blind Channel and Go_A my favorites. To officially following it last year and this year. It led me to discover some awesome artist and learn more about the languages and cultures of these European countries in which I didn't know anything about 😅. I thank Eurovision for that and so happy we can now vote! 🥳 still wondering how that is going to work. If anyone knows, is it through the app or the number that is on the screen in the semis?

well, Nel Blu, Dipinto Di Blu (volare) by Domenico Modugno was SO popular in 1959, he got two Grammys after reaching the 3rd place in eurovision 58.
also, Love the notion: If you don't like the song - wait three minutes. /very American.

Fair play, lad. Great video. And you’re right about the family fun aspect. I can still remember watching my first Eurovision with my clan back in Dublin 🇮🇪 in 1978 when Israel 🇮🇱 won. Haven’t missed it since, no matter where I have lived.

Now, I call Mexico 🇲🇽 home, and each year I throw a Eurovision party (which starts at lunchtime given the time difference), where the locals look on bewildered at how much me and my European friends get into it. And we have made quite a few converts!

This year I really hope Finland 🇫🇮 win, as their song is the right level of completely bonkers that I love. 🤪

As an American I’ve always wanted to watch Eurovision, but it was never really easy to find access to it. Thanks to Peacock I finally started watching it in 2021!

2:21 Yes and no, its not something new. Since its begining Eurovision always been relevant outside of it and not just cringey love love peace peace songs. In recent years, Duncan Laurence's and Rosa Linn's tiktok song is just a result of a shift in the music industry overall. It just shows eurovision manages to stay relevant when the society changes

Youtube videos about Eurovision made by Americans are usually overly simplified, factual incorrect, or pure cringe. This one was none of those things. Probably the best Eurovision video made by an American that I have ever watched on youtube. Greetings from Sweden!

I coming from Spain living in Germany, why am I watching a video from America? I love Eurovision so much that have to explore what other cultures think about it and I found it very funny, but accurate how you explained it, that I had to hear everything. And yes we watch it with family and friend and make our bets and the Eurovision season starts in December where the first country start to release their song, and then start all the national competitions. If you are looking for great, original, music, Eurovision always provides. And we love when songs are funny, bit crazy, all over the top, something you don’t normally heard in the radio or see on television, and if there is a political message ( which is not allow, but someone always manage to bring something discreet but powerful at the same time ( see Croacia entry this year) or social message ( Czech or Latvia song)… And yes stage and clothes are very important as well. So have fun watching and voting! In Eurovision dear Americans!!!❤

Well, a video that tries to encourage Americans to watch Eurovision that is going to be watched by Europeans who already watch Eurovision. What a master plan!.
I'm joking. Fun to watch.

Agree with all the reasons, especially the variety, pizzaz and overthinking 😂. Since I discovered Eurovision back on 2012 I have been amazed with the interesting, crazy and great stuff you can listen and watch!! It wasn't until recent years, I've became more fan, Now I'm watching the live streams, interviews, national finals, pre-parties, etc.
I don't know anyone here in my country who also watches it, Mexico (I know they exist though!) So I might use your video to try to make some friends get interested 👀

Thank you for making this! I hope it'll convert some of my friends. Incidentally, overthinking Eurovision songs is one of my favorite things. I didn't see a video for Soarele si Luna yet. I hope you cover that one because I'd love to see if you make a connection to The Dniester Nymph and Moldova's relationship with Ukraine.
