So there is no incest here, people are free to ship them. Shipping in this fandom is kind of different anyway since no ship has ever become canon, the closest we got was Nozomi x Coco since they kissed.

Though I am questioning how Daruizen and Nodoka got tons and tons of fanart even before episode 2 while similar ships such as Honoka x Kiriya got like only a few.

To put this in Kingdom Hearts terms: Daruizen is Nodaka’s nobody.

But yeah I called it last episode that this was gonna take the Ex Aid route with Nodaka having the infection which would create Daruizen.

This season is still better then everything Star Twinkle tried to sell me

People are criticizing this episode for Nodoka's illness going away too quickly, but for a lot of diseases (like COVID-19), people become more resistant to them when they catch them a second time. The first time, your immune system has no idea what to do, but the second time, your immune system is prepared and can fight back better. In this episode, I see Rabirin as the personification of the improvements to Nodoka's immune system. At first, Nodoka had no idea what was happening and couldn't do anything to stop Daruizen until he eventually left her body. But now that Nodoka and Rabirin know what's happening, they can fight back against Kedary a lot more quickly than Nodoka was able to do alone against Daruizen.

I gotta say, I was worried about this season when Asumi joined with all of her OP-ness, but I really enjoyed this episode, especially the fight animation, and the pretty interesting world building that made me think, what if the other generals were byogens made by sick people?

Something Healin Good has done that its predecessor refused it to make the stakes perfectly clear to the audience. Star Twinkle mostly glossed over the fact entire star systems and the billions living in them were being wiped from existence. Humans have a hard time wiping their heads around disasters on that scale and the show being so small minded only made it harder to connect the fate of the universe for the actions of the cures.

However, Healin Good has no problem illustrating what the Precures' defeat means. We knew the Beyogens intended to terraform the earth to suit their needs. While this in and of itself is terrible, now we see how their increase their numbers. They are a parasite on earth's life, using them as hosts to created new Tera-Beyogens. This suggests a terrifying scenario where humans aren't wiped out, but enslaved to be used as hosts since they seem to be the ideal hosts. And it makes me wonder if we'll the typical depopulation for the final fight so many Precure series have. It would make no sense for the Beyogens to get rid of potential hosts, and Healin Good has been willing to buck Precure tropes when they would interfere with the story.

And this was all around a good episode with excellent character interaction between Nodoka and Rablin and a brief but awesome fight showing just how dangerous even a half-developed Tera-Beyogen is. You realize that the Precure have actually had it easy that they have not attacked directly and the muskrat was just a taste of their capabilities. We're almost thirty episodes in the series and I'm still thoroughly engaged. Sure, it was kind of feeling episodic with Asumi learning about new feelings, they brought a paradigm shift at just the right time. Here's hoping they keep it up until the end and finally give us a great series and bring Precure out of its rut (though I need two good series in a row to believe it's back on track).

Am I the only one who wanted to see evil cure grace in this episode?

See this is really fascinating to me since as someone who hasn't watched Kamen Rider or Ex-Aid it felt very fresh and while I can get it not being so because it crosses into your different fandoms I can wager there's also a lot of people who also haven't seen Ex-Aid too lol

Great review Azenzone. This episode really surprised me with the part that Daruizen was an Megabyogen, which was born from Nodoka's illness when she was a little girl. This is just like Emu and Parado from Kamen Rider Ex-aid.

The fight in this episode was incredible! I noticed the shield move they used during the battle. Did they ever use that before? It was so cool! I kind of wish that Kedari wasn't purified so quickly, too; it would have been more interesting. I feel so bad for Nodoka; although she did recover in this episode, she is still depressed in the next episode, and I hope she recovers from the shocking truth she learned from Daruizen. I wonder when she fights him in the final battle if she will feel a bit more hesitant since Daruizen is a part of her. She will need to build her resolve in order to fight him and purify him.

Hm. Idk why, but I wouldve liked if they kept nodoka as immuno compromised or as a protagonist who has some bodily ailment instead of making daruizen basically a parasite who left her body. But that is just me, i still like the idea, I guess i just wished some sick girls couldve seen themselves in Nodoka instead of "it was an alien all along!"

I really enjoyed this episode honestly.
The drama was really good, the twist was actually pretty cool, and I do think that while yes that sickness from the byogen attack from EP27 is gone....She still has a bit of a weak body.

THANK GOD the Asumi episodes are over, and now the plot can get moving, and boy did it moved. For one thing, this episode has a lot of world building, especially when it touches upon the birth of the generals, or Terabyogens they are called now. Another aspect I like, is that the villains are now related to the Precures (at least one of them) and that made the fights a lot more personal now. I can safely say that this series are heading to the right track despite it emulates one of the best Kamen Rider series, and I am really looking forward to how Nodoka will face Daruizen later on.

Other points I like to mention, Cure Earth is no longer OP (THANK GOD AGAIN!), Nodoka is becoming my favorite pink lead now, along with Rabirin as my favorite fairy. Even the Byogens have starting to become my favorite villains.

P.S. Favorite animes for this season: Sleeping Princess in the Demon's Castle, Higurashi Goh, Strike Witches Road to Berlin, Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear. Looking forward to Assault Lily Boquet, Kamisama ni Natta hi, Dragon Quest 2020 and Hanyo no Yashahime.

So, Nodoka is responsible for Daruizen’s nobody watching her lead to Kedary?

*Cues Were All To Blame by Sum41*

This episode was freaking surprising and exciting! Great action and answers a bunch of questions while making us ask some new ones. If Daruizen was born from Nodoka, it makes you wonder who Shindoine and Guiawaru came from after this. It’s great! And it looks like the worf effect for Cure Earth is finally taking effect as not Kedary was pretty much walloping the team but Daruizen freaking one shotted them! And with that moment she has with Chiyu and Hinata, she feels less of an outcast now. Looking forward to your character list, Adam! Nice outro, btw.

Sorry, once I noticed the implications my mind went immediately to thinking this was an allegory for something even darker, and the Daruizen reveal darkened it even more...

It's not incest I thought about, though, but rape.

I like the twists and the episode, especially for not having Earth 100% curbstomp.

I enjoyed the worldbuilding of this episode, though I gotta shake my head how they just suddenly decided to start calling the generals terra Byo-gens as if the writers just thought of the term for them right then and there. It does make things more interesting, though. Y'know, thinking about it...if there are mega byo-gens and tera byo-gens...does that mean there are giga byo-gens as well?

First of all, let me say that I hate the Nodoka/Daruizen ship. I don’t understand how people can ship a main character with someone who wants to kill her. There’s nothing romantic about that. And since Daruizen was the reason Nodoka suffered for the first half of her childhood, it makes the ship flat out gross to me.

Anyway, I have mixed feelings about this episode. On the one hand, I feel somewhat unsatisfied with the fact that the Byogens caused Nodoka’s illness. It feels hollow to me. But on the other hand, it ties her situation into her plot in an interesting way, so...I guess I can accept it.

I’m interested to see where this is going, though. Will the Byogens use humans are their hosts from now on? If so, then the stakes are about to get a lot higher.

Also, I wonder where — or who — Shindoine and Guraiwaru came from.

This was a great episode, with good character and plot development. I hope it keeps going strong with the remaining half of the show.

About this season's anime, I'm going for Dai no Daibouken remake, Higurashi and Iwa Kakeru. I'm really liking these three.

Please don’t kill me! But I’m counting Kedary as Daruizen and Nodoka’s child! Even if he was defeated I’m still counting my ship to be real
