You can learn anything you want in 30 days if you do this one thing.

TEDxTeen opening music by BlackDoe

Connor Grooms has built a life, and his education, by breaking limits. At only 20, Grooms is location independent, traveling and living around the world as he runs his business online, from Saigon to Barcelona to his new homebase in Medellín. In November 2014, he gained 26 pounds of muscle in a month after a lifetime of being skinny, and wrote the book "Eating for Mass" on how to replicate his results. His book was endorsed by Dan John, one of the biggest names in strength training, as the "missing link".This past June, he achieved conversational level of Spanish in a single month and self-produced the film, "Spanish in a Month: A Language Learning Documentary" about the experience, which has been featured in outlets like Forbes. Grooms has nothing to prove - he does it because he knows that education and lifestyle are your responsibilities.

Key Messages:
1. Research what you want to learn.
2. Find role models and select individuals who have done what you want to learn fast or successfully.
3. Distill the learning into a plan.
4. Create a process and incorporate learning into habits.
5. Stay true to the plan!
Practice in real-world environment.
6. Bottom Line: Care for what you want to learn and make it non-negotiable.

Fantastic message.

Self discipline is doing something whether you feel like it or not.

"ACTUALLY CARING"....
This guy is unnecessarily intense, but the "non-negociable" message is useful.

He is awesome. This is the way to do something. Instead of complaining and crying follow his message. Like we hate our jobs but we go there that is not negotiable, wow. Wonderful!

I really like your documentary movie about learning Spanish only by 1 month. I have been learning English 3 years, every day, and now I can say that I'm fluent. All my free time I spent for learning English and this is amazing like after some time you see your results :) I'm learning Spanish now, but frankly, is harder for me to learn this, because I love using English.

His method to learn a language: Have a lot of money to pay a tutor and travel to the country. Have a lot of free time. And don't have a job (it will only get in the way).

Why do I feel like he's about to sing Close or Jealous.

This guy needs to be non-negotiable about chilling the fuck out.

Plan: watch entire Youtube videos first and only then watch the comment section, or not watch the comment section at all.

Your speech gave me exactly what I needed. I have been failing in many endeavors all my life inspire of all the right research, awesome resources. but i didn’t know why I was never able to accomplish my goals . Today, I have understood. I have never bothered to COMMIT. I never made it non negotiable. This is my light bulb moment. Like you said, that is the key ingredient for success. Thanks a ton. I am super excited. From today I am on the right track. Thank you 🙏

One thing I will stop doing is spending hours on YouTube researching for the best solution, because I have finally found it.

"I gained 26 pounds of muscle in a month." Bullshit. I could see 26 pounds of fat+muscle+water weight (still a tad extreme, but viable), but not straight muscle. The pictures he showed suggest the same.

One thing I learned way to late in life is commit and give all your attention to one thing and be excellent at it. Take school. I went back to College at 40 years old, and I take one course per semester. Two courses and two A's later I sky rocketed my GPA. Next semester, yep one course. Do one thing, and do it well even if it takes longer for the total goal. Do the work even if you don't feel like it.

Excellent talk! Instead of trying to do everything at once and being overwhelmed by it all, commit to doing one thing at a time. Streamline energy instead of scattering it.
Needed to hear that, thanks x

Every multilingual person: "I know more than 7 languages, but fluent in none of them"

I liked what he was saying, especially the focusing on one thing.  Personally, I have a lot of distractions when trying to do anything and have been known to get side-tracked, before you know it the day is over.  So get more done by removing all the things I thought I should do and focus on my main objective sounds good to me.
