This is what I think about KALKI 2898 AD.

As a Telugu guy, I am proud to say everyone has put their heart out. For me, as Shan said, the hero would be Amitabh ji rather than Prabhas. It has an outstanding second half and a forgettable first half. Trust me, I slept in the first half! Second half visuals made this movie an outstanding attempt by an Indian team. Kudos to Nag Ashwin! Music is outstanding too..

Watched the movie yesterday. First half with Prabhas's unnecessarily extended fight scenes, his jokes, the whole Utopian sequence are gonna make you question the whole movie but the moment Amitji showed up and Deepika walks through fire, it grips you. Hang in there for the last 40 minutes.

Kalki makers should keep the serious tone without any unnecessary jokes.if they somehow make this movie more serious without unnecessary elements like crimge dialog, songs etx then it definitely gonna look better

Its baffling how this Hindi dub got approved. They haven't even distributed the original Telugu version in most parts of India. Really makes you appreciate Rajamouli's pan-world appeal.

Shambala is actually a city hidden from the rest of our real world. It is said to be somewhere in between The Himalayas. If people today go and search for it they will never find it and you're comparing it with Wakanda. What if Marvel copied that Idea from our culture😂😂😂😂

Mahabharat scenes were so fckn powerful and amazing that I was hoping Nag Ashwin makes a whole standalone movie on Mahabharat. He captured the essence of war of Kurukshetra quite perfectly. Vo scenes literal goosebumps de rahe the especially the last scene of Arjun vs Karn where Shri Krishna humbled Arjun(although that whole chariot event doesn't even exist in the Mahabharat). The only problem I had with Mahabharat scenes in the movie was the glorification of Karn when actually in Mahabharat he was a very insecure, evil and arrogant character and not a hero or a morally good character who should be glorified or idolised. I loved their artistic choice how they didn't show Shri Krishna's face indrectly conveying the message that Lord Krishna is so divine that a mere human cannot play him ❤️‍🔥👏🏼

Well, Wakada is inspired from Shambhala.

Concept of Shambhala a city believed to be existing in or around Mt Kailash is written fact of our history/mythology.

Besides, Marvel movies also credit it back to Hinduism by mentioning "Glory to Hanuman" in the movie.

My only problem with the movie was the overglorification of karna...the chariot scene shown in the end has no mention in any Mahabharata manuscript. Its only folklore..it made arjun look arrogant and karna like the ultimate hero..but in reality Krishna never spoke such words for karna...you can read gitapress authentic Mahabharata.i am not lying.

The movie is historically inaccurate....ashwathama had so much hatred for karna, he had so many disputes with him throuhout mahabharata
a huge quarrel before VIrata yudh and on one occasion ashwathama even ran behind karna to behead him for cussing at his uncle kripacharya, really disappointed by the creative liberty taken by nag ashwin, you may write the future s you feel like but must not change the history....the point when ashwathama in the movie says "mera mitra tha vo ..."I did a facepalm and almost puked when he said that karna was powerful than arjun. Arjun defeated karna more than thrice throughout Jay Sahinta and the scene where karna protects ashwathama from arjun was so inaccurate....its clearly mentioned that ashwathama saved karna from arjun on various occasions both in Virat yudh and Mahabharata.the scene where arjun says"we got pushed back only 2 steps " and lord krishna's dialogue after that is a bullshit story created by Whatsapp University. Arjun who saw true form of God on the first day of War and realized that he's not the doer would never say see how far back I pushed karna.

Comedy will definitely land differently in region to region. Disney places so much effort in post production to make film more local to you.

First half had incredible potential of world building. Loved the scenes with curious kid and those of Deepika's character. Wished the screenplay had spent more time on Deepika's character to flesh her out, make us as the audience root for her character. And yes, the Prabhas intro scene dragged for way too long. The Disha Patni scene was necessary though, to introduce to the complex and the for better world building.

I'm just glad that for the first time in the Indian film industry (as per my knowledge) Krishna is shown as per his description in the scriptures, TRUE GHANASHYAM - Person with Intense Dark Shade! 🧑🏿❤❤

All of the cameos are what made this movie 100 times better and Mr Bachchan has the best screen presence. Prabhas has the most lukewarm intro fight section.
