Three words: conflict of interest.

While I appreciate the medical facts presented, such as the medical uses of Botox, these two dermatologists are sneaking in "benefits" and subtly encouraging the consumption of cosmetic Botox by "debunking" myths that make Botox have a negative image, e.g. "only older women get Botox". The lady on the left then went on to brag about how she got her first Botox at 27. Is that not encouraging young people to seek out this procedure?

Also, comparing getting Botox to 'getting your nails' done' and 'coloring your hair' is trivialising and actually quite irresponsible. You do need a board certified dermatologist to perform Botox injections, and the associated risks are much higher.

I cannot see this video as anything more than an ad for Botox, period.

instead maybe we should normalize aging, especially for women...

Don't love that she compared to getting your teeth cleaned (which without brushing and checkups could potentially lead to cavities, tooth pain, and extractions) to something almost entirely aesthetic. Just be honest, it is not medically necessary most of the time. It's more like an invasive version of getting your hair done.

They literally do not have a single muscle move over their nose. Very disconcerting 😰

I really dislike the lack of movement in the eyebrow area. sure there are no wrinkles but they all look kinda surprised.

At 5:13 does she actually compare botox and esthetic procedures to a health check up, like just no. She's talking about it as if it's mandatory or something. Also it's more like what society wants you to age like and society's standars compared to what's perfectly natural.

it was pretty concerning when she was saying it's not addictive and at the same time saying she gets her whole face done every 4 months and alot in the video was very pro Botox, It did seem like a ad for Botox

I’ve never even heard of most of these myths. I never heard anyone claim Botox is permanent.

I have a type of natural botox treatment. I'm a Guillain-Barre survivor. I was asymptomatic though. G-B usually starts in the legs and works its way up the body. Mine started in the left side of my face, migrated to the right side of my face, then down my body eventually to my legs. As is also usual with G-B I was left with some residual side effects. I was lucky though. Mine weren't too severe. My face is partially paralyzed and the nerves rerouted when they reconnected so I tear when I eat and get stuffed up. On the good side is that I contracted G-B in my late 40's. I'll be 70 this Summer and I have no wrinkles on my face. Some people are left with terrible chronic pain when they recover from G-B. Or lose the use of their legs. It's been theorized that Franklin Delano Roosevelt did not actually have polio but G-B instead. People who've had G-B also have compromised immune systems. That complicates health care. Vaccines are off limits except RNA based vaccines.

It's like they're talking about crack or something really selling it hard 😂

The lady on the right, her upper face looks way too immobilized. If she has a two-year-old kid, I’m willing to bet she’s way too young to be worried about major wrinkles.

The procedure doesn’t work instantaneously. You can’t expect to go into the procedure and come out completely revitalized and youthful.👍

As someone who has suffered from TMD since 6th grade, I’m looking into one day getting Botox as on bad days I feel my mandible on the verge of dislocating when I yawn and when I smile too much due to my job or a function I have to attend, the next day I can hardly chew at a normal speed and I have to chew slowly because my muscles and joint feel so freaking sore
