I prefer the Castilian Spanish. Especially the C and Z as "th" because to me it sounds more natural. Years ago I developed the habit of speaking that way and it quickly became automatic with me. Sometimes the meaning of a word changes depending on the difference in the sound. And I also love the use of "vosotros". Just my own personal preferences.

I live in Spain right now (Granada) and everything you said is on point. The accent was challenging for me at first but I’ve grown to love it

That throaty g and j sound is very noticeable among Spaniards. My fellow American roommates and I would refer to that as their “smokers’” sound. And everything is “vale, vale “.

Podéis elegir lo que más os guste personalmente, pero a cada persona le puede gustar algo distinto y está bien. No hay un acento mejor que otro TODOS son buenos. 😘

Otra cosa que no he comentado antes, es el sonido "J" muy marcado, yo no escucho normalmente a españoles hablar con J tan fuerte, solo en algunas zonas, en general es algo mucho más natural, igual que la C y Z o la S, quien usa esos sonidos, lo hace de forma natural y se queda bonito.

Just the Spanish I grew up hearing. I’m so used to hearing the mexican dialect and it’s still a beautiful sound but when I hear people speaking like you just did it like my family it really hits home

Again, great job. You should do different between regional varieties in Spain. Specially Spanish from the bilingual areas Catalan-Spanish, Galician Spanish and Basque Spanish. You are gonna enjoy it!

4:50 "yo comí" también se usa muchísimo. Su uso depende del caso. "Ayer me comí un bocadillo" / "Esta mañana me he comido un bocadillo"

we use usted when we are having a formal conversation or when we want to be very polite, for example if u talking to an old man and you wanna offer your sit you'd say ¿Quiere sentarse?, thats the tense used for usted. Usually we'd say ¿Quieres sentarte?

Spaniards never do the “SH” sound, we just put our tongue slightly more up than the “S” from English or Andalusian/Latin American Spanish, making it sound just a tiny bit different

I love this so much, my mother is from Ciudad Real Spain ... And my dad is from the backwoods of North Carolina and they got married in 1963... I did learn the Castilian form of Spanish before English ... love this video very accurate... I love when people speak Spanish around me and I know everything they're saying LOL

I think that in spain the use of the preterite and the present perfect is actually correct, in latin american the preterite is used instead of present perfect (it also applies to the subjunctive forms as well)
