Sadly, some of the caves has empty jars and pickaxes in them, which means they were raided and their contents taken by someone else.

And have a writing system and alphabet that hasn't changed since so long so one can read it in the present must be amazing! It's amazing to see how, in three centuries of European tumb raiding and treasure hunting in the region, nobody found the scrolls until 2 years after the recognition of Israel as a nation...Truly unbelievable...smh
