I'm interested in the i5/i7 GPU... is it better than the Iris plus graphics 640?

I need a new laptop and tablet so I was thinking of getting this, but if I wanted to play final fantasy xiv on it for a few hours a couple few times a week would it run okay do you think? I dont need the graphics set high, I'm just concerned about overheating if I'm playing it a while. Any advice on keeping it cool or do I not need to worry about it when final fantasy xiv will be the most graphic intensive game I'll ever play lol Any and all help is much appreciated!
