I have used SB2 and many previous surface pro devices in the past. Recently bought SP7 (i7) and couldn't agree more with you on the fluidity of Windows UI with the new G7 GPU. I love my surface pro 7. I used the icore 7 and replaced it with my Wacom cintiq 13. I don’t mind the internal fan. The only thing that bugs me is that I can’t find any tips for the slim pen.

The surface pro is not meant to be seen as a traditional laptop computer but more as a tablet that can run windows programs with a hybrid solution of using it as a laptop. Triggered more for light work such as, offline & online media watching, writing, planing, note taking, or Concept creative work.

Its a high end productivity tool.

I really hate how the Surface Pro stopped shipping with the Surface Pen and everyone was cool with it. I love the Surface Pro lineup, but honestly it's pretty pricey for the specs you get. (Excellent design though)

microsoft needs to step up their game. surface pro needs 5g support, quad speakers, 120hz screen, finger sensor, better cameras with flash, and bigger battery

The surface pro is a great device, however the detachable keyboard is really bad, the edge deteriorates in a very short time. Also if you had an issue with the device, you have to return the unit to Microsoft and they do not repair the unit but just replace with a new unit. Creates a lot of practical issues with restoring backups, installing and configuring by your selves all your apps and dealing with licensing issues on the new device. Its a real pain in neck device when it comes to after sales services.

I like all your background and detail Intel Graphics Command Center app and disable Intel Display Power Saving Technology and Adaptive Contrasting, under "Extra Settings" under "Power". That is the exact model that I have chosen, and, with thye parent" discount on teh site, the whole thing is well under $2K.
