When it turned out a girl kissed Hank in high school, Peggy completely ostracized him and shamed him. In another episode when it turned out she slept with another man before marrying Hank she acted like she did nothing wrong when Hank shunned her.

I'm kinda surprised nobody mentioned when Peggy was smuggling cocaine into a prison after an inmate who tricked her into believing he was one of her students ( despite being about the same age as Peggy) told her it was Boggle sand, and then after the whole ordeal ended, she wanted an apology from Hank even though he was in the right for the most part in the episode.

I find it amazing how when Hank was accused of drugs, and she immediately believed he was guilty, but when she is accused of potentially being a danger to Randy Travis, she expects him to believe her.

Absolutely hated the episode, where she was jealous of Bobby, because he started to do things around house, then the other episode I dislike, is when Hank becomes a sub teacher, and she was jealous of Hank because the kids loved him more. Another terrible thing she did, she lied to Hank all those years that she was a virgin. Peggy is terrible.

Here's why everyone hates Peggy in a nutshell - EVERYTHING she does is to satisfy her own ego. Hank can be misguided but he does what HE thinks is morally right, most of the time. Good intentions, sometimes flawed execution or point of view.


Bobby, usually well-meaning but naive, inexperienced and easily influenced.


Peggy - She is the centre of her own universe and everything must bend to praise her. She will take anything she can find to make it connected to HER in some way. Like how she will take credit for acts as if they are HER opinion.

She worked at a brewery and didn’t tell her husband and his friends that the beer shipment would cause diarrhea. Even after seeing her husband ill she didn’t confess.

Peggy Hill is a cautionary tale to you kids: never EVER settle on someone because you're desperate or because they're there. I learned this lesson from my own parents (my dad is a weapons-grade Peggy Hill) and, while it took me until I was 26 to find a wife, it was worth the wait.

Peggy's personality makes sense when you meet her mother. She grew up being told she couldn't do anything right so as an adult she compensated by developing an overinflated ego.

When she brought Luanne back to a cult. Man, that episode was creepy.

I remember when Peggy was tutoring a prisoner named Wes. He sent her a letter saying she was the only positive influence in his life despite being on death row for murder. Although it was obvious that he scammed her, Peggy's own insecurities and narcissism got the best of her when he always praised her for being the "best teacher". She went so far as to put drawings or work from Wes on the refrigerator disregarding Bobby's work and rejecting Hank's advice to never see him again. Even when Wes himself finally reveals that he used her to smuggle cocaine and never had her as a teacher, she responds with "So, all that talk about being the only positive influence on you", she makes it sound as if the worst of the whole scam was that Wes lied to her about that, instead of becoming a drug mule and smuggling drugs to a convicted felon.
