thank you phawx for the honest review, other reviews seemed more like ads for these new laptop. Also i liked that you spent most of the time talking about the chip insteads of the build of laptop, like screen, keyboard, speakers and other stuff, what most people are not realising is that these laptop builds are gonna be same wether you buy arm, zen 5 or lunar lake

I don't get all the Snapdragon Elite hype. So far it doesn't seem to do anything that current AMD and Intel laptop SoC can't do, and with lackluster ARM app compatibility it does a lot of things far worse.

The bad lows in games does not surprise me since as an esport gamer I turn off all frequency changing technologies to get the best mouse feel and no desync feel running high fps games. The Snapdragon team have gone the complete opposite way, good for asynchronous tasks where latency doesn't matter as much. So when when game suddenly uses a parked core you will experience bad lows and this is even made worse through a translation layer adding latency to those asynchrone operations going from core to core.

THANK YOU. Yes, it's impressive in a bubble and with all of the stipulations you have to put on it; "for an ARM WINDOWS DEVICE, it's really good". Also it's definitely a GEN 1 device where people talk about it; "By iteration 3 it's going to be super awesome; but it's not there yet."

an honest review. Maybe in future after some more interactions they can be truly competitive. From what we know the upcoming offerings from intel and amd will match battery life without the need of a translation layer. And probably at lower prices.

One thing to note about Asus' OLED panels, I had an older version of the Vivabook and I got some screen burn-in. I also have an Alienware OLED monitor and LG OLED TV, neither of these have any burn-in whatsoever.
