Wayfinder Just REFUSES To Die | Wayfinder Echoes

Wayfinder is one of those games that has had a rough time of it. Ever since the game initially launched, it was absolutely mired with issue after issue, only for the final nail in the coffin to come in the form of losing their publisher.

After several long months of being stuck in limbo, Wayfinder has finally made its triumphant return in the form of its re-release, Wayfinder: Echoes.

This offline-release of the game removes the need to always be online and completely resets everyone's progress as a result. A fact I'm still a little bit salty about, but what can you do. 🤷‍♂️

As a whole, though, the update really does improve the game in a vast array of different areas.

I must admit, initally I was a little salty about having all of my progress wiped in returning to Wayfinder, but the Echoes update has easily silenced my original complaints. Sure, the game still isn't perfect and it isn't exactly the "MMORPG" that Wayfinder was originally advertised as, but the game as a whole is still really enjoyable.

Plus, I don't know about you, but I would much rather be able to play the game forever going forward, without ever needing to worry about the servers being shut down once the game is no longer financially viable. But what do you think? Let me know down in the comments below! ⬇

Thanks so much for coming back and checking out the Echoes update! We know we have an uphill battle ahead but we are going to keep our heads down and keep working... excited for you to get to Frostmarch and hear your thoughts. We have ANOTHER open world zone, Wayfinder, bosses lost zones and weapons with the 1.0 release later this year. We are investigating Multiplayer Lobbies/Matchmaking as well.
