This is by far the BEST self defense tutorial that I have EVER seen by a woman period - no contest!!! As someone who has been doing martial arts since the late 1980s and across multiple styles and currently in MMA, bravo to you :) I hope this video and all other tutorials you have done can be used as the highest gold standard for all women on this planet who are either already experienced martial artists or thinking about starting. If my late mother, who was an average sized Asian woman with zero martial arts training, was able to rely solely on situational awareness and rational, quick decision making to survive getting sexually harassed, physically threatened, and attacked even in her own home by much stronger men in all sorts of different situations, then any woman who has been well trained in self defense and martial arts will most certainly have a much better chance of safely escaping from those scary situations as well.

As a female, my homeboy told me off quite a bit for walking home alone after work.
He always told me to walk on the side where the street lamps are on.
If I see someone following, turn in to the next house and break the windows.
Or video call someone for my stroll home.

These were great. I might use it on my cousins that use to pick on me as a child.

i appreciate this video a lot. it's a bitter truth to face, but it doesn't mean it's insurmountable. any "man" that needs to attack a woman, much less a smaller woman, is a coward. if you're willing to fight back, you've already won at least a third of the battle. Gabby mentions palm strike to the ears, which is a great tactic. I want to add grabbing and pulling the ears. Very debilitating, no matter how big and strong an attacker is. Guarantee they'll yield to keep from getting their ears ripped off.

I'm ready for more of these Women's Self Defense videos and I'm a guy! In my opinion this is the most honest straight-forward instructive video of its kind. Fighting is an ugly business to be avoided, if possible. Escape is the next best thing, if not. However, ALL must assume a surprise attack encounter at some point in life. WATCH THIS VIDEO and future videos on this topic. This video is the beginning of your self-defense!

If you can learn AWARENESS do so. Most wild animals have a sense of awareness of their surroundings. I wish I had greater awareness. This is one of the greatest tools in life you can own. Awareness does no harm to others, while awareness may save your life. Train yourself in awareness.

Very important video; we had an incident here in the UK a while back where a woman was killed by a police officer. Everyone on social media including the Mainstream media and government officials decided to blame all men and tell them "stop attacking women" (yeah I'm sure they're gonna listen). Information like this is way more effective in my opinion.

I'm a grown man but I'm paying attention as you instruct us what to do because to be honest even though I'm a man, I'm quiet weak physically, my grips so soft. Hell even some women around me are powerful than me.

....knee kick was the primary option that our self defense instructor told us...a kick to the knee is easy to deliver with the target at a perfect height to be reached, unexpected, not blocked, painful, women can perform it easily too...and even if you miss the knee you can hit the shin, still a good target.

Gabby, even though your vid is directed to women, I think the techniques your displaying here are good for men as well. I always think ‘ keep it simple but efficient/effective .’ The goal is always to get away and survive. Unfortunately i think it’s just a fact of life nowadays that you can become a victim real easy. So yes, think ahead, pay attention about your safety, your life is your most valuable possession. Excellent video. Yes, it’s good for all people to be circumspective. Examine your surroundings all the time. Some people may think that’s being paranoid, but it’s not, especially if one gets into a bad situation. If a male is going to accost a female and, let’s say, the male is drunk, and then I say a woman has a good chance of tripping the perpetrator (Judo can help here) and getting a chance to escape. 🥋
