Dear whoever needs this,

Im a teen who used to compare herself to others. I hated lots about my body and would always compare myself to others. I would secretly cry mystify to sleep, but then I started doing something that changed the way I see myself. Here is what I did: I would look in the mirror and look at myself, the first few days all I saw was the flaws in me. But by day 4 I started thinking “wow your freckles are cute” or “wow you have pretty eyelashes “ Day by day the confidence I had grew now when I look in the mirror I smile and say I live myself for who I am. I know most people won’t think this will work and I’m not sayings it is going to work for everyone. I just want you to know that there are at least 3 people who look at you and wish they had something like you. You are not alone so don’t worry. You got this! Just pray to the lord and he will help you because you were given this life bc you are strong enough to live it! God lives you!❤️✝️

This is so true, some people have no idea how hard it is constantly comparing ur body image and style and grades and everything to everyone else, it’s like I can do so good but there is always someone who will be better, look better, and do better than me, it’s so tiring and depressing honestly, and my parents don’t believe in anxiety of any kind…

My BEST years? I'm literally struggling (study, depression, body image, etc - + everything mentioned in the video) and you say these are the best years of my life? Oh and you've been a teen too? Well if you did, why do you treat me like someone who doesn't understand anything and is supposed to know everything? Why everytime I say smth you think I am talking back?
You were a teen ONCE, and as you lived, let me live too!

I feel for you, I’m not a teen but a 30yo and still i remember being a teenager and hating it. Hating living at home, bc you can’t really get away from the people that are putting you down. But I also wanna say that parents are trying their best too, they struggle too just with different things, so try to have conversations with them. Tell them what is bothering you. If possible talk to somebody else, somebody positive. Life’s not that bad, you’ll get through this
