If a parent was adopted from Germany in 1959 and lost their German citizenship involuntarily because of this, would there be any pathway for their child to seek dual citizenship (we're in the US)? I'm not entirely sure we have any documentation that she was granted citizenship at birth but we do have documentation that she was born of a German mother and adoption paperwork.

Germany does not allow dual citizenship. According to the Germany embassy website. They will give you a card that will acknowledge that you are from a German bloodline, but you cannot become a dual citizen.
