Excellent reaction, and much respect to you for checking out the original version as well. Hall & Oats, are the song writers; they've written quite a lot of hit songs. Sara, was Daryl Hall's girlfriend at the time the song was written, and they were together for 30 years.

Got to remember back then these guys, especially Daryl Hall who liked to perform his music live even when recording it for records either didn’t have or wasn’t using autotune just something to keep in mind oh and the Sara that he is referring to got introduced to him by his band mate John Oates and Daryl and Sara were together for 30 some odd years — he knew what he was singing about

It's original! I got listen to this and so many other delicious songs throughout my teen years. This is a live recording, not the track they laid down on their album.The guy in the t shirt is John Oats.

That was an INCREDIBLE performance. The studio version is smooth. This here is like an oil slick. That was Daryl Hall on the vocals and the guy you think you may have seen in one of those movies😉 is John Oats. Tons and tons of hits over the years. IDK if Daryl is still doing it, but he has a studio in his house and he has put on some of the most amazing performances there with absolute legends from the music biz. It's called Live From Daryl's House, or maybe just Daryl's House, I can't remember. Just search for Daryl and your fav artist from back a little bit, and chances are good they played together. I don't think Taylor Swift has been over to Daryl's but you never know. He's a legend!!
