My boy scout leader had 3 wife's, this was in Las Vegas in 1973 75, he lived about 2 blocks away, our troup was sponsored by the local LDS church, one of the ward captains lived 5 houses from mine, I have been in the scout shed many times when both of them were present, this was on church property, everyone in my circle knew he was a polygamist he did not hide at all, 100% sure this was common knowledge in the church...
... I have all ways known these people as hypocritical...

This one doesn't actually bother me the way many practices and history of mormonism do. Breaking up familes, making wives live away from sister wives they had potentially be living in friendship with for decades. Splitting up siblings, and leaving women with many children without a source of income would have been cruel
