Christianity is most profound and this is why humility is fundamental to its understanding.

Instead of saying I don't understand therefore it must be rubbish, say I have much to understand, may Jesus guide and help me understand.

The Bible does explicitly tell us in scripture that Jesus is fully God and Fully man in one simple verse-->John 1:14 KJV — And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, ) full of grace and truth.

The matchless grace of God enables our hearts to believe what our tiny human brains cannot comprehend. Our words trying to explain holy mysteries are insufficient

Great video, but I'm not seeing what this has to do with debunking Sola Scriptura... do Catholics think that Sola Scriptura means if you can't find "hypostatic union" in the Bible, then only the Church can show that to you?

Protestants want to cite their Bible verses, for each and every single religious claim. Absolutely any belief must come from some verse, from *only* (Sola) the Bible (Scriptura). Sure, you can hear spiritual truth from your professor, who heard it growing up in the church, which has been passed down for centuries, or even thousands of years. But if it isn't sourced from somewhere in the Bible, then it's manmade.

So how did the Catholic Church come to the conclusion of the hypo static union? If they went to the scriptures and the scriptures alone they would have come to the right conclusion. How does that debunk sola scriptura? What other source of information did they have that led them to Jesus being both human and divine?

Full disclosure, I am a retired Free Methodist minister:

1) In our Wesleyan tradition, we only hold to "sola scriptura" in matters absolutely essential to salvation. In other areas and issues, we place Scripture first, but also consider both tradition and reason. In reality, I think this is true of most evangelical groups, even if they don't admit it. When I was a pastor, I warned my people that if someone said they had found something in Scripture that no one had seen in 2k years of Christianity, they should run, not walk, in the other direction!

2) My degree is from a Baptist school, so I have exposure to a wide range of Protestant/Evangelical theology. I can say that this doctrine is UNIVERSALLY held by all. Among evangelicals, any other view is considered heretical.

3) Why is this the case? I would argue that it is primarily because the Scriptures are abundantly clear in this issue. As with the Trinity, the problem is that people insist upon being able to completely understand the nature of God, which is not possible for us. However, when we take Jesus and the Bible at face value we reach that same conclusion that Christians reached in 451 AD.

4) The fact that Scripture can be misinterpreted does not mean that it is not clear in its' teachings. People can and will distort ANY teaching - including that of the Catholic Church! (Trust me, I know as I have frequently corrected me evangelical brethren who have done just that.)

5) As far as if everyone holding an incorrect view of God and Christ is lost - well, that is not in our hands. It's our job to teach the truth.

If you want to talk about issues where the Scriptures are not as clear and people actually do misunderstand, try election and

In any case, good video.

All this goes back to when the angel Gabriel told Mary she would be the mother of God and was taken by the holy spirit a shadow over took her and Jesus was conceive not by man or her soon to be husband Joseph but by the holy spirit so Jesus was DNA Mary and the spirit of God not of man so why are people disagree when it's oveious that Mary is the mother of God and Jesus who is God 😂 I don't see how they can argue what is very oveious!!!

If you have to lie and say that the Bible doesn't say that Jesus is 100% human and 100% God, then you are more concerned about winning a silly argument, than you are with telling the truth.

Now ask the Protestant girl about the blessed mother and they’ll split the divine and human in the blink of an eye.

"His name will be Emmanuel meaning God with us." "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The Word became flesh and dwelled amongst us. If anyone thinks they can get even close to comprehending the mystery of God the Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit then they are fully delusional.

Yes it does. 1 Corinthians 15 talks about Jesus being both God and Man.

1 Corinthians 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy; the second man is the Lord from heaven.

John 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, ) full of grace and truth.

John 1:1 1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Mathew 28:19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

Isaiah 43:11 I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.

#1 the church didnt establish that Jesus Christ is God. God established that Jesus is fully God in the flesh. Jesus, who is fully God, stated He was God fully, not the church... The Holy Spirit was sent to fill us with God's devine nature, so once we except Christ as God and Saviour, we confess Christ is the Salvation from death do to our sins, we as Christians receive the gift of Salvation, eternal life and God is in each of us, we receive the Holy Spirit, which is clearly God in us, the light that shines from God through us... Over whatever amount of time, the Holt Spirit tranforms us into a new person, as we allow the Holy Spirit to grow in us, to direct our paths, to allow God to lead us through obedience to His commands, if we don't stray from the path God has before us through prayer and knowledge of the Word of God, who is Christ Jesus, we shall have eternal life.
As Jesus states: No one comes to the Father except Through Jesus Christ...
READ : 1 John, the whole five chapters...

To claim to be Christian and yet speak against the Bible is apostasy. Any doctrine not 100% Bible-based is false and void.

something doesn't need to be explicit to be clear - scripture is clear, on every matter, even the hypostatic union. But only those with the eyes of faith can believe it

Jesus is the centre of human history and the answer to all our existential issues. This is precisely because He restored human nature to its original pristine sublimity, grace and divinity by uniting in him the divine and the human in faultless perfection. Perfectly human perfectly divine, that's the central feature of the Incarnation. Nothing can, no one can substitute Him in this. Every other man made programs systems of thought or avatars of one kind of the other fail to achieve what they propose (d) to achieve.
JESUS IS LORD . HALLELUJAH.

All the evidence of Jesus being both wholly a man and the God is in the Bible.
Colossians 2:9, 10 For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity dwells in bodily form. And you have been made complete in Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.
If you are not able to fully defend your position by the Bible, it is either an error or the opinion of a man.
