Thank you for the demo! I have a vintage bed frame that has a small damaged area and I was trying to figure out how to do it. Wow, after watching your video, I realized that this is going to be easier than I thought! The bed frame is stained, not painted so the only thing I need to do is find a stain that is closest to the original color. That should be easy too since that brand of wood filler offers so many different colors. ☺

TY for sharing this info. I want to use this material mixture for filling bowing in exterior window frames. Could you explain the difference between using caulk for wood cracks vs this wood putty mixture? I just think this matl is better for a number of reasons.

Fiberglass bondo is the best thing you can use as wood filler, indoor or outdoor

Those columns would look better with mitered edges, instead of seeing the ends of the boards. Thanks for sharing!

There's a large wooden beam running across my front porch, with a lot of big splits in the wood. What is the max length/width I should try to fill? Does it need to be done in multiple layers or should I just stuff it in as deep as I can then smooth over the top? It's not really wood rot as much as just the wood drying and splitting from our super hot Vegas summers. The beam is mostly ornamental rather than structural, but I imagine that with the price of wood this size, replacing it would probably cost thousands of dollars. It's 5" thick, 10" tall, and about 12' wide.

Can you answer a question for me? I'm building a workshop, and I have areas where my pvc trim is fastened to wood trim. I want to seal the gaps between the two materials. Do you think this product would work in this case? Will it bond to the pvc? Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as I can't seem to find any solid info on this issue..

How about just plastic wood filler? Same affect right? Can I get such a clean look using stain? Or does it require much more effort? Thanks for the video by the way!
