If you have eyes only for this telescope, 5 years is a slight wait, but there's so many other things going on in the meantime. Dawn visits Ceres in 2015, New Horizons visits Pluto and its moons in 2015, Juno reaches Jupiter in 2016, OSIRIS-REx launches for an Asteroid in 2016.. and there's a load more.

Much of the public has not only ever viewed through an amateur astronomy telescope, yet only a few (how many of you here have gone out to a large star party way far away from inner city light pollution) and observed through a large observatory sized telescope? Not just looking at Hubble photographs in the web, but really spending a lot of time observing live through big instruments. It helps to take this free advantage when it is offered by astronomy clubs to the public. You may come away with an entirely stunning perspective to the minds eye, when realizing what this Webb telescope improvement will be over the Hubble. Live live

Question ? Is each Mirror segment made with a Parabolic curve or is it a flat mirror aliened with a Parabolic frame ?

What's the comparison in usable magnification? I'd say Hubble can give us 2, 00x, so JWT should be good for 5k ( give or take ).

I'm going to be so nervous watching this launch in 2035

You are comparing the surface the area of a circle to 18 hexagons. The James Web telescope doesn't have circular mirrors. When I do the calculation I get 5.88 meters. This is a bit bigger than the old Palomar telescope the 200 inch telescope.

Hopefully this can answer some questions about our universe... Is it possible that this telescope can find evidence that our universe is just one of many? Or maybe that it's the result of a black hole from a universe and this universe is what came out of the "White hole"?

I think the scale of Silva vs Hubble feels wrong. That's not 2.4, but rather 3m
