I just bought one 5 days ago and I'm loving it! It's the first manual I've driven in 5 years, the other one being a very old fuel truck at an airport with an almost completely busted transmission. But I've been able to shake off the rust and enjoy driving it pretty quickly. And it fits my needs perfectly while being very inexpensive and great value. And it's a very nice driving experience.

100% agree with the shift knob being too light or hollow feeling. I bought a black forest ind. knob and it cleaned that up a bit.

is there a push bottom dedicated to Hold Function? I saw reviews of this 2024 model...and also the 2023 model but I can't see the Hold Function.

I've been looking at Civic SI and sport but this is appealing for the money. Just drive it 2years and dump it probably be okay

Only main gripe about this car is the stereo. It is horrid. So as a long distance driver, an upgrade is required. But, VW doesn't make upgrading easy. So the minimum quote I've received with a new head unit and upgraded speakers is $2400. That's without sub and amp. Goes up from there. That's pretty brutal to spend on a $23k car.

Wish it was possible to get automatic climate control and heated seats with a manual - without stepping up to the GLI trim level.

I could understand maybe not having a moonroof on the base manual but what is up with not having side mirror turn signals?? People in manuals don’t need extra safety?? 🤦🏻‍♂️🤣😂😅
