A world without middle-class consumers is a world without a real functional economy, this realization is hitting everyone in the head right now.

Those trucks are more expensive than the average single-wide house trailer

Automakers got hyper-greedy at exactly the wrong time. Now their stuck.

Took my wife’s 2020 Jeep Wrangler JLU to the dealership for some warranty work on the climate control. The Jeep is loaded and decked out. As I waited in the lobby for it to be serviced a couple new car salesman found me and was working me over to look at the new Jeeps. After a few times I said ok and walked the lot, saw a dozen or so and finally said are you crazy? These prices are insane. A base JL 2 door with no options was over 40k. Never again.

The other day I was waiting for an oil change on my service van (RAM Promaster 2500) at a CDJR dealership in central FL. While waiting I walked the lot and counted at least 20 Jeep Grand Wagoneers, lot-rotting. The cheapest was marked at $82k and the highest priced one was Ten years ago I paid $133.5k for MY HOUSE. I wish that there was a really offensive emoji for me to insert here. I will keep driving my 2001 Toyota Tacoma until I am dead. What the hell is going on?

No longer a "full row" of trucks, it's a "fool's row" 😂

As a mechanic for 35 years, I wouldn't buy a new vehicle from any of these three manufacturers. Buy something from before 2000 and fix it up. These newer vehicles have more problems, more expensive problems, tens of thousands of dollars in depreciation, poorer quality and are more easily totaled in a minor accident. I own three trucks, 1996 Tacoma, 1995 Silverado, 1995 Ram diesel. Old is gold.

Wont even consider buying those for less than half of their prices.

A year ago I predicted that U.S. automakers would adopt the same tactic used during the 1930s Great Depression by relying heavily on luxury vehicle sales and people told me I was way off base, and look at what is currently happening.

40K... for a sedan? That is a lexus... why on earth should you buy a low quality Ford for 40K?

What really sucks is the fact that worn out used cars cost as much as what a brand new car used to cost.

I just sold a building and was going to treat myself to a new F450 Limited. But then I really started thinking about it. 110K. Man, that’s a lot of dough. My current truck is a 96 F350 Crew cab 4x4 with 65, 000 miles. Perfect condition, everything works. I think I’ll keep that for now. It’s not that I can’t afford it, but rather that I don’t want to afford it

the most alarming is the fact that a lot of dealers are skill keeping 2023 models they had hoarded.

Spending 90 thousand for a new truck while living pay check to pay think something might happen?

100, 000 dollar vehicles 😱. People need 30 year mortgages to afford this crap.

The sales tax alone is more than i would ever pay for a vehicle.
I'll walk, or just stay home.
That's what the gov wants anyway....
We're finally priced out of the American

It's so sad to see the Toyota Yaris, Honda Fit, Nissan Versa, and other compact cars no longer being manufactured. These car manufacturers are trying to force feed the average customer vehicles we don't want. They're literally setting themselves up for failure. I hope the government allows them to free fall to failure. 😮😮🤯🤯

Inflation doesn’t move that fast. . . But greed does!

Ford F250 is the same price as a Mercedes GLS 580 SUV....That makes ZERO sense.
