Inverse Kinematics for free in the asset store? Yes, this is possible. But only if I release it. And this is what I have done. The Inverse Kinematics Solver is completely free and open source.

You can find the source code on github. Feel free to contribute. In the next video we will have a look in detail, how the solver is working. So stay tuned:

idk how am I supposed to thank you, your asset helped a lot
I was trying to make my character hold the gun using animation rigging, worked just fine, but when it came to switching weapons, it broke, I even tried 'void OnAnimatorIK()' but since unity could not make the avatar for it, that did not work, I had to struggle for a week, when I lost all hope I decided to watch yt and there I saw ur vid showcasing the asset, and I will also make a video of my own on another channel cuz im sure there are many like me whose animation rigging broke

Do you think you could do inverse kinematics with hitboxes to make realistic dodge animations? For a souls-like game I think that would be pretty cool

bro when I add fabric IK, the arm follows the target nicely but the hand rotates in wrong direction and doesnt hold gun properly. EDIT : I found the fix- the aiming pose must be default pose/animation. Thanks for the simple fast ik.

I have seen that all joints are coaxial ones. How do I set the angle limit on individual joints?

Thank you for this!! I wanted to ask, do you know if I did this without an animation and instead allowed the player to control the ik target, will colliders and rigidbodies still be respected on the avatar and the object being collided with? Ie. A hand with collider and rigid body reaching out and touching a wall, with a collider, will the hand clip through the wall or be stopped by the collider / rigid body?

tho this is an old video, but i would like to see how are you going to integrate that in a game, this is most likely may be may be good for some animation and prerigged motion with script
