I was attacked (in a failed hijacking) under a Cyclops camera in Khayelitsha. I was told that there was no official at the Parow centre recording the footage at that time. Pointless ploughing technology into a situation where it isn't used.

We live in times where we must assume that corruption will be rife in most state controlled institutions. Until that is addressed, our country will continue faltering.

I have reported corruption in the institution where I work to every conceivable official on several occasions. I have been ignored, called a liar or labeled a trouble maker.

Going through this process, I have discovered that there is no political will to address wrong-doing in our country. I just got sick from my wasted efforts.

The corruption has worsened.
