If you've ever missed your connecting flight and had endless hours to kill at the airport, you've probably wondered 'why there isn't a place for me to nap?' Sleepbox is aiming to solve that problem with their line of innovative micro-hotels. The boxes are rentable by the hour or by the night, and can be setup just about anywhere.

$30 dollars an hour?!?! You must be off your fucking rocker. I'd rather sleep on my suitcase in departures.

Umm...$30 an hour and if you take an average night of sleep (7 hours), that's about $210, the cost of a luxury suite/night. For convenience purposes, this would be a good idea. If you have other options, though, it's best to go with those.

Bro I would go to a Burger King at the airport and sleep there
It's free and they have those long benches

I was laughed at when I suggested doing this at DIA years and years ago by an investor

Very expensive. Nobody except rich ones will rent such small shit box. This price does not match anything.

They might use different price for different places. Great idea. If I stuck in airport due to delay or transit for more than 5h, this will be my choice in term of convenience.

I mean. It's expensive. But as someone who had to spend a night trapped in Heathrow I'd take it over trying to sleep in the departure lounge any day

Remove the fabric covers and sheets, just have pu leather covers. Reduces chances of spreading bed bugs from other travellers who had slept in the pods before you

But does it isolate sounds from the outside?

I foresee sleepboxes only being used for an hour at a time. Oh, and acquiring the nickname 'Shagbox'.
If this box is a-rockin, don't come a-knockin.

Does the woman in this video come with the pod for an hour?

I would pay for one of these if I had to go to like a job or something right as I got off my flight and I have to be fully awake and energized. But no way in hell am I paying for this if I'm visiting family and I could just sleep when I get to my destination. This seems like it would be perfect for business people or anyone who's going on a business trip.

they've had this type of service in Narita, Japan airport for a long time. if I remember correctly, they were about $10 a hour and you can shower too.
