I am a professional handyman and live by knowledge and by every trade trick I can learn. This video was absolutely worth my time watching. Thanks for such a heads up. And teaching me something new on the app I use every day. Dam I even took a small page of notes for the reminders.

Installing a line takes maybe 5 mins and makes it a fast one man job

Where i am working we take a dirt box with 2/3 rock, 1/3 sand and 4 or 5 bags of portland cement mix on a trailer with a mixer mounted on the back.

Come on guys Great job. We pull the posts off truck or trailer and have someone put all marks on before we start. Even do it at the shop if someone has the time beforehand.

I thought my old boss was the only company to line I without a sting line. Eye Don't lie, I learned from one of the best :)

85 wheel barrow loads DEFINITELY does not sound fun!!
I also agree that setting posts in a straight line is definitely satisfying and my favorite part about installing fence!!

I like to use a nice torpedo level so I can put it in my back pocket when I’m handling the post

Setting post height seems to be the most complicated task of our jobs. Having a ridiculous amount of unleveled ground doesn’t make it easier. Any tips for making that process a bit easier when dealing with unleveled ground?

Looks good. Only thing is maybe have the guy doing the sight line. Stay back a few post to eye it. If only back one it's easy to jog around.

Do you think running a string line would be a lot less time consuming back and fourth adjusting the post mad skill to have doing things by eye but seems more time consuming in the long run

You sound a lot like this one overweight, middle aged guy with bright green shoes, that’s always yelling at me on the WeTubes. Lol. Great set job guys.

Is that the Cody airport? I’m in Georgia. But my brother lives there. It looks familiar

I’m making that change immediately… never gonna set another post I before concrete again!

Just curious… we use a lot of hedge (bois d’arc) posts for fences. They will outlast treated pine or cedar by several decades. I can show you fences with 6” diameter posts still solid and strong that are 100 years old. None of them are in cement… there are both dug in and driven in posts in the fences. They were set with rocks and clay pounded into the holes to hold them.

Newer fences with concrete rot the wood!

Now here’s the question(s)… at equal depth and equal diameter… which one holds better? Rock packed or concrete. Second, have you ever used hedge posts?
