10 TIPS for STARTING Medical School
Показать описание
Here are 10 things I WISH I had been told when I started medical school. Congratulations to all of you who just started this amazing journey!!
When I started med school, I wanted someone to tell me how to set myself up well for residency applications. So I decided to include some info in this video. BUT just to be clear... there's no need to stress or plan at this point, because you really do have lots of time! I just want you to have info to help set yourself up for success!
TIPS:
1) Learning resources – don’t just buy a bunch of textbooks
2) Forgetting and relearning is completely normal – don’t get discouraged
3) Take notes using a platform easily accessible on your phone
4) Medical School Syndrome – it will happen to you!
5) Collaborate with your classmates – don’t create a competitive environment
6) Get involved from the beginning
7) What specialty is for you? – starting thinking about it early on
8) Self-care – medicine is a marathon not a sprint
9) Make time for hobbies
10) Ask for help when you need it – lets break down stigma
