I've watched quite a number of study advice vids at this point, and I appreciate yours the most. I wish more people could talk as straightforwardly as you do.

Always remember, your patients don’t care if your top 1%, be a compassionate doctor, there is no percentile that can make you connect with another human!
Be humble and don’t get lost in numbers!
Bless you in your journey

Stupidly simple, stupidly efficient.
With these tips, success is a matter of time and constant effort.
Application is the alchemy that transforms knowledge into gold.

I tried to follow the popular study methods and ended up focusing on devising those methods rather than actually focus on the information. For me, reading it at my own pace and taking the time to understand it by re reading, going back and forth, and finally connecting the dots is what helps me learn, and this takes a longer time than others but it’s what works for me. Rather than trying to cram 273773 study methods into one session, I think I prefer to take it slow and steady, because that’s what drills it into my brain. Along with that, using various resources for review like online quizzes, questions banks or YouTube videos also helps me a lot in reinforcing what I already know. I think it’s better to work on what’s worked FOR YOU in the past vs what everyone else is raving about. I used a lot of study methods incorrectly, perhaps, and it didn’t work out. So now I’m just going to stick with taking it one thing at a time.

I'm a 2nd semester med student, and I was looking for more effective methods to save time in my schedule. I realized that I made the mistake of going deep into material instead of looking at the bigger picture. I'll use your advice well to have an academic CB! Thank you I loved your video!!

Fantastic tips, just the push I needed to put my ego aside and start doing past papers regardless of how often I get the questions wrong. Thank you SO MUCH!!

I think the most important thing about learning how to study best, is like you said, "think for yourself". I personally do things to study that others find counterintuitive and don't like, but work really well for me.

Thanks man, that was totally helpful. I would also like to add meditation every morning / writing reflective thoughts. Since my undergrad I would regularly do it everyday. I am also pursuing my medschool applications rn, hopefully I could start this year.🎉

Glad you are going to boost our nhs. My uncle burnt out in nhs and moved over to NewYork and retrained for orthopedic surgeon. Earning over $600k now. Impossible in UK

He fails to mention the last of the S's. It's actually, studies, sports, social, and sleep. You can have all three of the first S's, you just have to sacrifice sleep.

I’m in the top 10% of my med school class. What I’ve found is hard work only gets one so far, I’m simply just not smart enough to move up any higher. There are levels to this. The advice is sold though 👍

Thank you so much! I struggled last semester and I'm trying to make sure that doesn't happen again.
