Captain Arthur Henry Rostron was a hero in my family. He was my Mum's Great Uncle. He wrote a book "Home from the Sea" that I'm fortunate in having a copy.

Oh gosh that bit at the end about the dad being unable to go to a baseball game with his kids because the crowd's cheers reminded him of the screams he heard that night... that gives me chills to think about. Poor man. PTSD is no joke, and it's interesting/sad to see that something so normal and happy for so many people can remind some people of something so unimaginably horrible...
I hope his kids understood why.

You rarely hear what happened to the survivors after they were picked up by the Carpathia. I really appreciate this glimpse into the aftermath of the disaster. I can’t imagine being asked over and over to relive something so horrific. Not just by random curious people, but having to testify or enter legal claims for compensation.

Amazing video - many thanks to Mike and company!

I am seventy two years old. A long time ago I read a book on the Titanic disaster. It is so long ago I now have nothing in my memory to date it. I have been interested ever since but I have learned more since our highly valued friend Mike Brady and his team started my real education. You have a knack of imparting the horror of the event that no written word or movie can match. The words thank you seem totally inadequate. Thank you all the same.

Nurse Violet Jessup was on all 3 White Star ships when disaster struck - Olympic, Titanic and Brittanic. Yes, she continued working on ships after the Titanic disaster

I went to a traveling Titanic Artifact exhibit with my mom recently, and I just wanted to say it was incredible, but made even more so because I had lots of extra information to share with her as we went through it- learned from this channel! So, thank you!

I just completed the trans atlantic journey aboard Cunard liner Queen Mary 2. We passed about 800 miles north of Titanic's final resting place on our way to the coast of New Foundland prior to turning east to cross the Atlantic. The ocean looks so cold and foreboding. Passengers didn't stand much of a chance once they were in the water.

The sheer size of the titanic in 1912 was astonishing, I bet people that saw the ship split, they would have been scarred. It's hard to think about the terror of the disaster.

I just want to say that you've made me interested in something I didn't really have an interest in before. You're a great presenter, and clearly a great researcher. I think there's something captivating about hearing someone talk about something they're passionate about, and you do that so well. I also love that you call us your friends, it's such a nice touch. Keep doing your thing -your friend Joe.

The baker who fortified himself with whiskey before riding the stern into the Atlantic and treading freezing water for a near impossible time - he was back to work just days later.

Eva Hart lived to see the wreck found... in two parts, as she had sworn, against the accepted narrative, for over seventy years (since the age of seven!).

Officer Boxhall went on to work Aquitania, before becoming an adviser on the film 'A Night To Remember'.

Like you, my fascination with Titanic and maritime history in general started when I watched the 1997 Titanic movie as a child. I have read and watched so much but your content, with its depth and compassion, is second to none. Keep doing what you do!
