By far the most common question I get is some variation of how to tell if a guy likes you!

I’ve done about 7 videos on the various scenarios that apply to this topic. All of them are different. How to tell if a guy likes you at work. I’ll link all of those videos below if some of you are interested. I get this question at least twice a day on my Instagram alone. It doesn’t seem to slow down.

Recently a girl asked me how to tell if a really shy guy likes you. She then described a bunch of his odd and often unattractive behavior. And I started thinking about all the ways girls misjudge and misunderstand guys like this. These men are generally written off because of how they function when in the presence of a crush. Many are much masculine and even alpha then they may seem. You just have to give some of them time to get used to you. Shy guys usually have a habit of misrepresenting themselves in front of beautiful women.

In no particular order, these are 6 signs a really shy guy likes you.

He may seem really soft around you.
Fear of women can suppress masculinity. I’ve known tough strong rugged men to take shrunken feminine posters and take all the base out they voice when they talk to a woman they like. Men like this especially large ones can feel an inherent need to appear nonthreatening around a woman they like which can cause them to soften all of their mannerisms.

Fear of women can be paralyzing. Some guys get so nervous they appear dainty or even gay when in the presence of a woman they like. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard a girl say something to the effect of “omg far real, I thought he was gay” after finding out a guy liked her. He not gay. He’s suppressing behavior he perceives may be threatening to you.

The second sign a really shy guy likes you often has the opposite effect.
He puffs up his chest and takes an aggressive posture any time your around in an effort to display his alfa qualities. He wants to be seen as the strong dominant type. Because of this, he’s often seen by his crush posturing as if he has seen a threat. Sometimes guys overdo it to the point of looking hostile or dangerous to the women they are attracted. He puffs up to look more masculine but he’s usually quiet because he’s terrified at saying something stupid or making himself look dumb. He’s going for the strong silent thing but he just looks crazy.......

They try to show you they like you in nonverbal ways. Usually small gifts or favors they don’t have to or just refuse to explain. Like in school or at work at lunch time they may always offer something to you that they know you want just to get a thank you so they can like “no problem” The guy who always shares your favorite snack with you but doesn’t stay to converse is most likely your biggest fan.....

They avoid talking to you. As stupid as it seems when you try to talk to them they scurry away. It can feel impossible to get this guy the say more than 2 or three words to you even though he’s always so sweet to you. People aren’t usually in the habit of facing their fears but avoiding them. They know that because of their nervousness it’s hard to have a naturally flowing conversation with you.

Another tell-tell body language sign is perfuse sweating. If you start talking to a guy and his forehead is dry in a few words into talking to him he’s whipping sweat from his face and forehead it means he’s terrified. People sweat when they are really nervous or they care too much about what a crush thinks....

I will be honest, with the danity thing, that's so accurate. When I see this guy and he doesn't know I'm there, he's super alpha male, posture strong and confident. When he finally sees me his entire persona changes. Hunched over. Quiet and stuttering even though he isn't even talking to me but around me. It's actually adorable because I had a gut feeling he likes me but ALL the other girls are straight up feeling him. Got a girl feeling all special.
