excellent advice for new starts. I would not criticise anything SCC advises in this video. I would however add one more hint. If you live in an area that you can access a tutor who will let you join a class, then do it! You will learn a lot and avoid basic mistakes that a beginner WILL make without professional instruction. This is the path I took and looking back on my journey, I'm very happy that I was able to take classes with a competent instructor.

We should recognise that SCC did not use this video as an advert for his classes, and try to make a profit from his knowledge. Instead he tried to encourage everyone. That is to his credit. My own experience is that I personally would have failed and been disappointed by the hobby/carrer path without experienced help and probably given up quite early.

Of course, if you are interested and live in an area where there are no classes near you, then watch the videos, build your own coal forge in the earth, and please, follow all the safety rules that you have ever heard of and keep on forging.
