I really believe doing squats/deadlifts gave me back pain problems. Great video.

doctor, i’ve been lurking for a long time. it started with tight hip flexors, stretches didn’t work. found your videos on hip impingement showing this exact technique. that along with adductor/abductor stretches and the usual hip stretches - i’ve been able to squat more freely. i still have a lot of work to do but thank you for helping me do what brings me joy.

been watching your vids for a while now. This is the only yt channel you need to troubleshoot your lifting techniques, breakdowns. Good stuff mate

this is it for me, and there can be huge, weird variations in my hip mobility from day to day.

Is this not just a temporary fix though?

Is there any way to improve hip mobility without bands?

Where you say "the low back can be forced to move excessively" about 1 third in, viewing the lady from the rear; the bar doesn't seem parallel to the floor? Is this also due to what your pointing out here?

but how does restriction in hip internal rotation affect squats, where you move into external rotation?

Do you know any self internal rotation test?

I have this exact problem. I brace well and I’ve been spamming the McGill big 3 but still get some back pain.

How the fuck do you know

I feel like this applies to me. I always get tension on in two awkward areas, lower back not to each side. It always seemed weird to me that this is a lower back issue, or even a hip issue since my waist is lower. But if its on both sides then what else could it be other than hip issue

So far I'm trying to work on hip opening exercises. I haven't dialed it in yet but I have noticed my deep bodyweight squats seem more effortless
