Thumbs up for the Ukrainians & for their strength and spirit & the outstanding solidarity and togetherness they have shown over the last dreadful year. I'm Polish, based in Krakow where over the last 10 years or so I have met so many Ukrainians I could not even count. They were my classmates, colleagues, friends or just random folks I'd sometimes come across here and there. Just normal people we would simply argue/work etc with. A neighbouring nation that I've always found so similar to us in many ways, not just linguistically.
It's sad that it takes war to make you realise what a blessing it is to have such NORMAL neighbours over the border. A nation that will not suddenly want to forcibly deliver you their "мир" on their tanks one day. Which, sadly, the Ukrainians have been experiencing for the last 11 months. I hope Russia steps or whatever. The sooner the better.
