I think March 2025 is a good release date for the new Switch since March 3rd, 2025 will be the 8th anniversary of the 1st Switch console.

So if June is the final Switch Direct, that means a couple of things: No September Direct or a September Direct that contains Switch 2 games. Then that would mean the Switch 2 would be revealed sometime between now and September.

I think it’s great Nintendo has actually done this and beaten the leakers to the punch but I think Nintendo was always going to reveal that there will be a successor to the current switch at this earnings school and I think a lot of uncertainty and anxiety that many people felt will be gone now. I think it makes sense that the switch successor will be a switch like device especially with how successful the current switch has been. There’s only two things I want from the successor to the current twitch to be significantly more powerful and to be backwards compatible that’s all I ask.
